Default Wrong cable,battery damaged?

So,i had an other cable cause the OEM was screwed. But Sometimes it just charging and not,and this change is fast.So it's like i put it on the charger and off very fast. But i dont experience this problem every time just sometimes for a couple of seconds.Yes,the cable is faulty but i charged my phone with it for a whole night. My qwuestion is that could it screw the battery?
How could i check my battery status/health?Are those battery health check apps useful for this?

For now i changed to another cable

yes this could just burn up the whole motherboard if you keep doing that, so use a decent cable... and the battery is highly unlikely be damaged by this...
