Since ive used motleys kernel you can use motleys as a direct comparison for video quality etc

Actually is it possible to enable HDR video? Or is it a ROM-level thing not kernel?

This is awesome news if it works. I followed this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2039553
but they seem to have reached a dead end in terms of actually improving quality, rather than just file size. I'm curious how you managed to enable high profile AVC, since the last I heard, it seemed to be locked in the driver somewhere (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=160)

Also, I don't think there's hardware support for 60fps 1080p, only 60fps 720p.

I flashed the XML from the other thread and it actually lowered my fps to 24. And it made video look choppy for some reason.

Question
Question....

In doing research on the differences between AVC medium and high profiles, it appears that HP is preferred because of higher bitrates (max 25 vs 20), better compression ratios and better algorithms (i.e. stuff don't understand like 88 vs. 44 transform adaptivity and Quantization scaling matrices).

Having little experience in comparing MP and HP my question is should we expect a significant increase in video quality by switching to HP on the N4?
