After you flash the LTE modem, you should see .33 or. 27 in baseband in about phone section.

That's strange. im using CM11 and not experiencing what you have been.

I did enabled it via this app. it indeed does stick after a reboot.
it does state LTE/GSM (Auto) in the phone info special menu.
it does automatically switch between LTE and 3G/4G/H+ (H+ for me).
preferred networks still says: LTE (Preferred)


what rom are you using? stock?

I tried both purity and liquid smooth with same result. Once it changes to 3G/H+, the preferred network changes to 3G/WCDMA preferred. I have manually changes it back using dialpad trick.
