If I enable 180° display rotation, I get a random reboot, and it never fully boots. Anyone else? I've clean installed three times, and the third time with fresh downloads and good checksums. Weird!

Well, I tried again without touching the rotation settings. Same result. It seems to happen about 5 minutes after booting. Maybe I'll try a full backup and flash a factory image to see if that helps. I don't want to discourage anyone from trying this awesome ROM; I'm sure it's my personal setup that's causing the issue. I've been installing the 8/20 build with the 8/16 TK Gapps and ElementalX 4.03.

boot loop

Flashed the Rom with elemental x and without. Initial boot is fine. I do setup, change some options in settings, install Titanium backup. When I reboot, I get stuck in a boot loop.

I am not changing anything with the rotation. Perhaps changing some other setting is causing issues?

Yeah, my reboots were not rotation related after all. I installed four times total. Each time I got random reboots while messing with settings (which may be a coincidence, each time I was getting things set up howbi like them). I've never had random reboots like this on my Flo, and I'm using the same Gapps and kernel I've used for some time now.

Hmm, themes (or at least the one I am using) are not sticking. It takes a few days but in the end it always reverts back to the stock theme. Happens after I wake it up. The theme (dark material regression) is also uninstalled each time which is really strange. I will try with a different theme and see if that solves anything.

Update 1: it just reverted back to the stock theme while I was using it. The theme was just gone from my system. Now I installed the normal dark material theme.. Let's see what happens..

Update 2: after nearly a day with the regular dark material theme nothing has happened (and that's a good thing). It must be something with the other theme that's screwing with the theme engine.

Anyone get black screens when trying to turn on tablet? And have to restart by holding power. Using elemental

If you followed directions for installation, I.e., wiping /cache, /dalvik cache, /data, and /system in recovery prior to flashing the ROM, are using the included kernel, are not using xposed, multirom, or similar non-standard mods, and did not attempt to restore data to system apps from a different ROM, but are still having issues booting or rebooting, you need to get your last_kmsg log to the developer.

If you're unfamiliar with getting that type of log, it's located in the /proc folder, and can be retrieved in recovery, either with the TWRP file manager, or by using ADB. Once you've retrieved the log file, share it by either copy/pasting the contents of the log to a site like pastebin, or by uploading the file into a file sharing service like Google drive, dropbox, mega, etc., and sending the dev. the link to the file.

Needless to say, if you're using an alternative kernel, you should contact the developer of that kernel, with the same log type.

Just wondering if you plan on updating this truly awesome ROM to marshmallow. Or do you plan on releasing a few more lollipop updates?

Sorry I've not been around for a while. Really busy with work.
I'm sorry to say that this rom will end with lollipop.
All the work and the team has been merged with Euphoria OS (some of you might already know that). So I advice you to switch to the same, since that will be something similar to SAOSP.

Cheers

So everything SAOSP will be merging with Euphoria OS under Euphoria OS?

    Thread reopened. Because 5.1 :)
    ... and also because I hate G+.
    Get the update here. https://plus.google.com/117421397767192393992/posts/VLCg9Ec25Zq
Most of the stuff from 5.0.2 has been added over 5.1, from scratch, except for theme engine.

    Enjoy!
