Are you flashing a custom kernel on top of these roms?
Wifi issues are usually a Kernel issue..

I have the same issue. I've tried DirtyUnicorn, PA and a pre-rooted stock rom. None of them had working wifi. The only way I can get wifi on a custom rom is if i restore my stock /data partition; but that leads to many force closes and errors.

:update:

I restored my /data partition again, but performed a fix permission as well. It fixed most of the force closes and is usable now. I can't say anything about how stable it is though

I had to reflash stock and re-root the device to get it to work. I guess I used a wrong setting while flashing it?
