Default LTE question

Now I'm a seasoned user I'm I'm blown away by the fact rooting and unlocking the boot loader required no computer and only took two minutes! This is my first nexus device and I was wondering, can I only use stuff from the LTE section or could I use kernels for the regular nexus 7? Don't want to make a noon mistake
If you don't want it ROOTED then DONT LEAVE IT WITH ME!

You have to use roms and kernels built for the LTE model(deb)
Current Devices:
Nexus 7(2013)
LG G2 AT&T
LG G Watch
