I bought a 32GB Nexus 7 in January. Today I just noticed that I have only 8GB of storage left out of a total 11.8GB. My 32GB devices has just miraculously transformed into a 16GB one. Root Explorer, TWRP and the storage settings pane all display 8GB left put of 11.8GB. I don't know when this happened but it was in the last couple of days. My current ROM is SlimKat Stable 6. I am contemplating flashing the stock factory image, relocking the boot loader and returning it to Google.

Relocking and Unlocking the bootloader fixed the issue. Mod, please close thread.

Relocking and unlocking would have also reformatted your tablet. May have been a ROM issue.

The proper fix is to flash stock recovery and factory reset. You can restore nandroid after.
