I* do not know :P. My guess* is it reads the information faster that way, being directly linked to phone. Every time I've done it I have* noticed vast improvements.

is it possible to get a transparent status bar in gummy settings? I tried setting it to all 0's but it doesn't make it transparent and i could see other icons in the back,overlapping eachother.

The only way I remember doing it is actually editing the XML for the status bar
