Red face Several reasons for getting a case:

Being drunk. (*blup*)
Letting your little sister play. (bad idea anyways)
Clumsiness. \:
Over excitement when crush calls.
Vibration accidents. (fall from desk!)
Pockets/bags with sharp keys.
Easier to recognize.

It never ceases to amaze me how people will pay $400+ for a device but then are not careful with it/throw it in a pocket with key/change or put it in a purse full of crap.
