what's a logcat? and do i get it, to sent you the file ofc.

@kong
I just realized that in the latest version [2.4.20] dalvik-cache is located at /data (previously /cache).
Did you do this on purpose? because previously I saw the script at init.d to move dalvik-cache to /cache.

Thanks

Yeah I left it that way on 2.4.20.... Did you see any difference in performance?

No, i don't see any difference in performance but now my /data has less space left :'(

Personally, I prefer to move dalvik-cache to /cache

Interesting, I don't see this as a big problem, it's certainly not a deal breaker anyway, but I am just curious whether this ROM would be updated to newest miui this week, or have to wait til next orange Friday

oops! accidentally beamed from my awesome NEXUS S!

Actually it's simple, just put script below at init.d folder

Code:
#!/system/bin/sh

if [ ! -d /cache/dalvik-cache ]
then
	busybox rm -rf /cache/dalvik-cache /data/dalvik-cache
	mkdir /cache/dalvik-cache /data/dalvik-cache
fi

busybox chown 1000:1000 /cache/dalvik-cache
busybox chmod 0771 /cache/dalvik-cache

busybox mount -o bind /cache/dalvik-cache /data/dalvik-cache
busybox chown 1000:1000 /data/dalvik-cache
busybox chmod 0771 /data/dalvik-cache
