Bedalus - I think it would be a good idea to add "Paranoid Android" to the Version Matrix list of ROMs which need the CM IO control. I did a quick search of this thread and it seems like a question that gets asked over and over.

[Device] -[codename]- [Rom] -[Kernel]-
Nexus S (retired) -crespo- SlimBean Build8 -Marmite 8.7-zcache-
Nexus 7 -grouper- SlimBean Build7 - M-Kernel a54 -

Use the power button to put the screen to sleep.

I 've been using marmite 7.3 and 7.3.1 and noticed the following: the "System" process (top -m "system_server") is inexplicably eating CPU cycles for me. Can anyone else report on this?

Sometimes it averages 3 - 5 %, other times it averages 7 - 8 % or more.
This is across different roms and with auto rotate off. Flashing a different kernel (matrix) takes the "system" process to an average 0 - 1%.

Phone: Nexus 4 (E960)
ROM: SlimKat (android 4.4.2)
Kernel: 3.4.83-Slimkat
Recovery: TWRP 2.7.0.0
Launcher: Nova launcher Prime

Other devices: Nexus 7 LTE (2013), Xperia SP
Previous devices: Nexus S (i9023), Xperia Sola, Atrix 4G

Will take a look at it in the evening and report it.
