Unfortunately, I don't see myself adding much to this kernel from now on. I have a feeling that all I can continue to do without owning the device is merge mainline updates.
For various benchmarks, see my threads: >here<

My experience with this new (for me) kernel: I've no benchmark, I’ve just my impression and user experience.

I come from stock rom and kernel on rooted Nexus S 9023, my actual configuration is stock rom with Marmite Kernel and default settings (scheduler cfq, ondemand, no overclock).

I want to change because with stock kernel I’m starting to have some lag with some heavy app (ie documents and pdf view and editing) and after some “super” heavy app (for a Nexus S) like after playing some games I’m starting to have system stability issues or very heavy lag that I can remove only with a reboot.

I’d like also to keep a good battery life and no lag during normal phone use (i think that the last official rom 4.1.2 is the most smooth I’m very happy with it).

Now with marmite kernel all these lags with and after heavy apps are disappeared (I think also due to better usage and increase amount of available ram of this kernel) and battery life is very good.

I used for long time stock kernel so with Marmite kernel about battery usage I can say that in normal use (mail, browsing etc.) I noted a little bit more consume, in standby I noted a decreased consume and on heavy use I noted an identical consume but with no lag and with no system issues that mean less time with display on.

So I’m very happy with this kernel, thankyou to the developer and thankyou for supporting me during flashing operation on last days.

I've tried both 7.3.1 versions. Every time only Google logo.

Try fixing permissions. If not wipe cache and flash ROM, then power it on. Then go back into recovery flash kernel and fix permission and it should work, remember to choose cm version of kernel

The first thing I'd try is get hold of NSTools and raise your voltages at the OC points. If that doesn't work, try lowering them.
