Why? If this is how the dev wants it, that's the way it should be. Too many kernels have been made unstable by devs adding too many features, that's why there's hardly any stable kernels for ICS now. This kernel flies, the battery life is good, why add Deep Idle when it causes instability?

The kernel has the 3.0.17 base, the idle backport is from 3.2
