Regarding hw-accelerated browsers:

Isn't Opera the only browser that's hardware accelerated on market today? Hope we're getting a better stock browser when ICS is out.

I can't seem to find out where to post bugs about this rom but I found that when I play music from my NS through to my stereo my phone freezes and reboots. This has happened on 2.2,2.2.1 release as well as the new 2.3 release.

I just thought I would post it here since the thread is up.

What music player and kernel do you use?

EDIT: You can post bugs at the Oxygen Forum linked in the OP.

Looks like this ROM supports OTA updates? But when i press check for updates in CWM it says no updates, yet there is a new version out today... Does OTA works for this ROM or should i just flash the 2.3.1 via the regular method?

Nice. If anyone flashed Carbon CO2 v1.1, this should be the same thing without ICS theme. Jonathan, can you confirm?

Oxygen v2.3 was released today. Check it out at the Oxygen forum:

    Link updated for 2.3.2:
    http://forum.oxygen.im/viewtopic.php?id=1476

"Well ICS is only around the corner now but Google has decided to drop the code for 2.3.7 GWK74 before it's release, this update mainly just brings a number of bug fixes to Android.
Work is still ongoing behind the scenes to bring new features to Oxygen which you will see in the next version, however for now we have applied the latest upstream patches and also updated Superuser to v3.0, the Theme Chooser is now gone as we have no plans to port support for it to ICS."

    Links Updated with v2.3.2:
    Nexus S Download: http://download.oxygen.im/roms/update-oxygen-2.3.2-NS-signed.zip

    Nexus S 4G Download: http://download.oxygen.im/roms/update-oxygen-2.3.2-NS4G-signed.zip

    Code:
    2.3.2 Changelog:

Added battery controls for brightness & sound in status bar power widget
     Added compact carrier
     Added croation dictionary
Added customized Launcher2 with plenty of new options and enhancements
Added option to turn off volume button music controls
     Added swipe-to-clear notifications
     Decreased bootup time
     Improved lock screen animation
Improved media scanner, now scans all external volumes (/emmc & /sdcard)
     Removed FM support
     Removed useless wallpapers consuming 6.5MB
Reverted back to old battery percentage

    Device specific changelog

Device specific settings menu added for NS & SGS2
     Fixed battery drain on SGS2
     Updated kernels for all devices

I have nothing to do with this ROM, just alerting XDA folks of the update. Oxygen is one of the most stable Nexus S ROMs out there.

EDIT: Oxygen comes with notification bar widgets, reboot menu, etc. Thanks AdamG.

Screenshots (looks just like stock Gingerbread):

I reuploaded the NS4G version, there was a very minor problem, sorry for the inconvenience.

    Announcement from AdamG today:

Sorry I haven't been around much recently, everything has been hectic, tons of overtime at work, christmas, new year and now the baby is due in less than a month.

I have been using my Nexus S as a test bed for ICS, the Nexus S and SGS2 will receive Oxygen first, however I would like to wait for the ICS kernel source for the SGS2 from Samsung first before an SGS2 release is done.

I plan to do everything from scratch with ICS and make Oxygen more cleaner than before and keep within the stock-AOSP approach, the status bar power widget will stay obviously and some of the other mods, I wasn't happy with the standards in Gingerbread and there was bugs that some users experienced that really should have been ironed out before release.

The Oxygen project is still very much alive.

Thalamus is now the proud owner of a Nexus S and will surely be working on the framework for Oxygen again in the future, there has been so many changes in ICS making devs lives hell all around with the extent of the changes, devices are now starting to receive ICS compatible proprietary files now and development is starting to really kick off.

The first betas should be available within the next week or so.

Great news for us Oxygen addicts!

MMMMMhhh, something awesome's coming with this nice springlike breeze :) :

Posted 1 hour ago by the Master of Oxygen :

Sorry for the long update, I made some headway recently, I haven't had much time since the baby was born but I got a few days off work and finished off what I could, the SGS2 and Nexus S will be the first devices to receive Oxygen 3.x, there is a few small bugs I need to squish but everything is pretty much ready.

    I guess i'll have nice week-end guys....

Im using this rom for a long time but there is 1 thing thats bugging me..
My battery never gets up to 100% while charging..only 94-95

    How can I fix that?

That's normal and happens on every ROM, for battery protection and longevity. Mine charges to 98%, probably due to a difference in battery stats.

The latest CM7 allows charging to 100%, but I'm not sure if that's a good thing.
