Just for posterity, with a wipe and a reinstall as suggested by lappydk I appear to have solved the battery issues I was having (as reported here). On wifi with 3G on, calendar, tasks and reader widgets I get about 20 hours. I turned off autorotate based on comments here, but not sure if that makes any difference. With 3G and no wifi I would probably get about 12 hours or so in a good reception area, which is about what I was getting before. My GPS signal is also much more reliable now.

I am still have a couple of problems:
1. Still can't change voicemail number. In the telephony settings, I try to change the setting from the default and press ok, but it reverts back to the default after I press ok.
2. Wifi tethering. If I have 3G on and enable tethering, then take a call, I will lose the 3G network and have to toggle airplane mode to get it back. An even easier way to see this is to have wifi on, enable wifi tethering and see that you won't be able to get on the 3G network.

Can anyone replicate these or have a fix?

One more thing, what is the maximum screen on time that people are getting with CM10.1? (i.e. doing something that isn't too CPU intensive but using screen continuously). I struggle to get more than about 4 hours these days, but using an OEM battery.

Copy the zip file to the your /sdcard/cmupdater than use cm updater inside the menu where you look at build number.

I dirty-flashed the 17022013 nightly (Android 4.2.2) using cyandelta right over my previous nightly and everything seems to be working smoothly.

I recently updated to cm10.1 from cm10 and I experience this problem: it has a lag of about 0.3-1.0 sec when locking/unlocking the device. I run the latest nightly 18.2.13 and it was present in all 10.1 versions I tested (04.02.13 to present). Could it be an issue from the kernel? I have the 3.0.50-Cyanogenmod-g2a11ce9 pinky-ghost (is this the stock one wich comes with the rom?)

P.S: I reflashed countless times clean but with no difference what so ever.

4.2.1 and 4.2.2 roms are known across the board to be slightly slower in some areas(In particular the area you mentioned) than the older JB versions in particular CM10.1

Pinky ghost is the stock Kernel.

Are the new 4.2.2 features not present in 10.1 20130218 Nightly?

The download progress and Quick Panel toggles aren't working on 20130218
Samsung Galaxy Note II I317M - SlimROM 4.4.2
Nexus 7 (2013) - AOKP 4.4.2
Motorola Talkabout T2288 > LG 6070 > LG 6190P > Motorola KRZR > Samsung d807x > LG Shine CU720 > HTC Dream > Nexus S > Samsung Galaxy Note II
