copy to system/app then install...you can just move the original apk, incase you want to go back

well, I tried removing orignal music app and replacing it with this one and rebooted, but i get force closes. If I push it to /data/app, it works after reboot. But that's just me.. and i'm on cm7

There's no advantages yet, it's a dev version that is buggy and lacks features. It just gives you a glimpse of what's to come.
