hey folks,
I would like to use the app AdAway however it modifies the host file in the system directory.
I have seen here in the forums that doing anything in the system directory is not a good idea on our Nooks, So I am wondering if the issue with the system directory has been solved or more generically is AdAway safe to use on my NookHD+ rooted, CM 11 running 702 nightly rom.

thank you.

If you are running CM you do not have to worry about adaway. The only time you must worry about adaway with a Nook HD/HD+ is if you are running unmodified stock.
