The newest fixed you download from the link in the message to get root worked 1st time on my Verizon Note 2 ND7! None of those fixes you use Odin to flash worked! Many soft bricked my Note 2! This worked 1st try!
P.S. I had Supersu & Superuser & Busybox already installed, which I feel helps a bunch!
Hope I am a help to others!

  3. Double click GhettoRoot.bat

In full disclosure I have no idea where the source for this came from, I just made it pretty, and tried to make it super easy. Credit goes to 25yvdgpo06 for finding it. This root very well may work any many other devices, including other Samsung devices. Looking at the source I dont see anything that should hurt another device. Worst case scenario it simply doesn't root it. Please let us know if you try another device with success.

Thanks NetworkingPro, rooted my note 2 using this software.

Thanks seadoodude!!!

What worked for me is to use the ghettoroot 0.3.2 zip to force the pc to ask for authentication. I left that window open and then used the ghettoroot.zip to actually run the root. Worked flawlessly and now I can update SU and move on. Thanks for the excellent work here!
Im using windows 8.1

Can root with apps installed?
I'm about ready to try this root method on my N2, but I'm wondering if having all the apps installed that I do will mess it up? One of the reasons I want to root is stop some of them from loading at startup. They dog my phone.
Have never done a root before, but I'm techie. Any direction here? Thanks!
