mistake
Sorry, not only am I a noob on rooting but also on xda dev. HA. I saw a post with minimal instructions, can't even find it. And after i posted my question, the thread showed that it was part of huge thread with many replies. I have to learn how to use this forum. I will search some more. I really interested in getting it to work on a mac. Its the only computer i have access to at work or home. Thanks

PS. Does anyone have a STEP by STEP on how to do this on a mac? I Have downloaded adb and skd manager. I have downloaded the ghettoroot.zip from NetworkingPro. And i have no idea how to run the GhettoRoot.bat. It does nothing when i double click or force open on terminal.

No need to apologize. It can be overwhelming on here at first. Unfortunately I've never used a mac so I can't help you there. Hopefully someone else can chime in and help you with that.

Glad this is here, my note 2 stopped rotating and I had to swap it for a new one, extended warranty ftw.

So just out of curiosity has anyone had to run this more than once to maintain root?

Also is a custom recovery possible?

Way too many posts to read from mobile view and search never works well.

I only had to root once and no issues. There is no custom recovery as the bootloader is locked, however, there is safestrap which gives us a recovery but we are limited to 4.4.2 touchwiz roms only.
