Just checking to see if anyone knows if progress has been made on circumventing the locked bootloader that results from (foolishly) taking the OTA update to 4.4.2... or if there is a tested safe way to roll back to a Jellybean version in order to regain root access.

>> anyone know if I can go from rooted 4.1.1 to this rom? or do I need to do 4.1.2 and then 4.3 and then 4.4 ??
>>
>> TIA

Unfortunately I don't have enough points yet to post to the Developer section of this thread yet as I just joined this forum, but I decided to reply to the Q&A thread.

As far as I can tell, if you go to the very first page of this thread, you need to first install stock 4.1.2 on your Verizon Galaxy Note 2, then run Adam's CASUAL script/program to unlock your 4.1.2 bootloader and root 4.1.2. See the following link:

http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2272066

Next you need to install the rooted version of 4.3 (i.e., MJ9) from this link:

http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2578458

Then you can install this ROM distribution:

http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2765021

I hope that helps.

If this information helps you out, feel free to click on the 'Thanks' button if there is one, so that maybe some day I can post this reply directly to the actual developer thread! :)
