Hey, this is a guide to ROOT and install TWRP recovery on your N750/N7505 running 5.1.1

BRICKING, GETTING STUCK OR ANY CAUSE OF DAMAGE IS AT YOUR RISK! DO NOT BLAME ME!:confused:
FOLLOW MY STEPS PROPERLY TO AVOID SUCH RISK.

Files required for process:-
1. TWRP recovery - http://d-h.st/xoNw
2. BOOT IMG file(for n750) - http://d-h.st/1uEK
3. BOOT IMG file(for n7505) - http://d-h.st/WrIk
4. supersu(latest) - http://d-h.st/hhaR
5. ODIN (latest) - http://dl.sammobile.com/Odin3_v3.10.7.zip

DOWNLOAD THE BOOT IMG FILE ACCORDING TO YOUR DEVICE.

!!NOTE - copy boot img and supersu files to your external card.

STEP 1:- ODIN
1) open odin check if the mobile is connected and select file in AP/PDA
2) after file is add click start and wait till it is finished.
!!NOTE - untick auto reboot option in odin, and after flash process is complete you have to reboot manually, so boot your mobile directly into recovery mode(by pressing volumeup+home+power buttons), if u dont reboot into recovery the first time after flashing you will not get TWRP installed.

STEP 2:- RECOVERY
1) open recovery , click install and click on images at bottom right , now browse for the file boot img (which you had copied to your external card)
2) now select boot img file , then select boot and flash the file.

3) now click the zips button on bottom right(on top it will tell you select zip to install) and goto the supersu file placed in external card and flash it.
!!NOTE - install supersu from playstore before this process. (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.supersu&hl=en)
4) now wipe dalvik cache and reboot system.

when it reboots wait for 5-8 min as it is rebooting first time , when the mobile starts install root checker (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.joeykrim.rootcheck&hl=en) and verify root.

Congratulations you have rooted your mobile!;);)

Should we stop twrp to start and install su ?
it would be better if we do this as step 1, wouldn't it ?
A part from that you helped me root my device so many many thanks :)
I didn't forget to thank the post ^^ You are awesome !

it is sure a good idea. but i kept it in step 2 is that after you install twrp, to install supersu u restart twrp due to this u can see if there is any problem or not.

something is wrong with this root :p i can't figure it out but it looks like that most of the apps that requires root won't work properly :p
I get prompt to grant access and I do grant it :) but the apps doesn't seems to have the necessary permissions

i think there is problem with Twrp Recovery for our 5.1.1 rom i have tried 2.8.7.0, 2.8.6.0 recovery both flashes zip perfectly but app doesn't install in system/app
example when i try blackberrylauncher to flash it shows flash successfully but does not show in system even other zips also, not tried installing app directly in system/app and change permission.

EDIT: i think subinary files are not installing properly

Using Lucky Patcher I tried moving an app to system/app , it didn't work :p Then i cloned it and installed the clone in system app the results were not really clear , you may wanna test that to see what you get.
but yeah can't write directly in system/app
Using SM-N7505

Just install. Apps like adaway, wacelock etc works fine. Tittanium didn't work in kitkat too. It doesn't make backup in extstorage

Tried to uninsatll SuperSu beta 2.52 version completely remove it and installed Beta 2.60(google it) reboot then it will show su binarys files not installed then using flashify app add betassupersu2.52.zip and flash it, reboot now open Super su app
and then it ask for supersu binary not install- choose noraml or TWRP recovery
twrp selected and volla it installed then again going flashiy app tried to flash htc camera.zip, wipe dalvik and reboot
and this time it shows the app
finding more.....
EDIT: tried to copy paste bblauncher.apk in system/app or system/priv-app
it says operation failed using root browser, now i am wondering rooting in 4.4.2 it ask for KNOX disable but in 5.1.1 totally weird, thinking of flashing 5.1.1 again
will do anything to get Blackberry PRIV apps to work on NotE3NEo
CF-Auto-root updated for N3N N750 will try and let you know

hi please clarify below one in specific,
    1. Using the procedure explained, should we able to uninstall any app? coz i inferred after rooting, uninstalling app is not possible.
    2. once the procedure explained in this thread is followed for note3 neo , should we able to use Titanium backup without any issues?
    3. Is there any issues faced while providing the SuperSu priviliges to particular app?
    4. Boot img - is it a modified version of latest stock rom?
    5. Will there be any impact in attending calls and battery life?

please help advice specifically. it would help many users quest on similar lines.

    1. Using the procedure explained, should we able to uninstall any app? coz i inferred after rooting, uninstalling app is not possible.
➣ No there are no issues of uninstalling after rooting and there is no need to uninstall anything before root process.

    2. once the procedure explained in this thread is followed for note3 neo , should we able to use Titanium backup without any issues?
➣ Yes you are able to use titanium backup but few other root required apps are not working. [xmodgames , game killer/hacker]

    3. Is there any issues faced while providing the SuperSu priviliges to particular app?
➣ No there are no issue providing supersu priviliges, just a 2-3 sec delay before it popups for permission. [Its normal delay any root phone experiences]

    4. Boot img - is it a modified version of latest stock rom?
➣ Yes it is modified but the modification had a small mistake due to which it show "recovery seandroid is enforcing" on every boot.

    5. Will there be any impact in attending calls and battery life?
➣ There are no issues with the functions of mobile and the battery life stays same before or after root. I have no issue related to attending calls or battery life.

I hope your questions are answerd correcty , if not you can ask me again!

    Hello guys,
Instead of using the SuperSu given on the first post of the topic, use this one http://download.chainfire.eu/897/SuperSU/BETA-SuperSU-v2.67-20160121175247.zip (that i got from Chainfire post) .
This will resolve all the issues we had so far .
