So far the latest rom is working well. I have had a few random reboots but they are far and few in between.
Plus the kernel lets you clock it at 2.5ghz so it could be why. Love the rom anyways!

You will want to try the TWRP thread for your device to get help.

Any chance of getting the Samsung S-pen apps and features with this ROM?
It will never be part of an AOSP ROM. The best you can do is get add-on apps like S-pen Command to cover those functions you want. This is because the S-pen apps on TouchWiz ROMs are all linked together and depend on other system parts that AOSP doesn't have - they're not really separate apps so you can't add them to AOSP. People write apps from scratch that look/work just like the spen apps and you can buy their apps if you want.

Settings Crash

Hello all,

I am running into an issue where Settings will crash whenever I tap on the "Performance" menu. Has anyone else run into this? I've done the process of clean flashing the ROM, wiping everything prior (minus external SD), and wiping dalvik/cache twice now.

Would love to get this sorted! Logcat below.

When first booting after install you HAVE TO boot to recovery right away or the custom recovery gets over written by the stock rom.

I've been working on this for the past week, and it doesn't look promising. Even after copying a lot of system files and configuration from a MM TouchWiz port, the Samsung apps end up looking for classes that just plain don't exist even in the original. With the stock source code I could handle it in some 15 minutes, but black-boxing it looks to be impossible.

And of course, the other ported ROMs are from international GSM versions, so while they have all the pen functionality, they lose the capability for SIM-less 3G data. Either way, I'm missing a large chunk of what makes this particular phone useful to me.

So far the closest thing you can get would be to use "Spen command". Then using the play store to download any app that supports note features.
Like a note app, paint ,word. It works fairly well.

This ROM has been great for me but there is one tiny problem I have. The "LiveDisplay" button in my quick settings keeps disappearing. Sometimes it comes back on it's own but usually I have to go in and disable and enable it again.

Other than that, epic rom.

help with rebooting.

Monday i backed up the stock rom flashed to 5.7.2 and everything was working fine however i had forgot to sync my contacts so yesterday i wiped the phone and attempted to restore the stock rom. the restore said it was successful however nothing worked. after many times rebooting and trying to make it work i gave up and did another full wipe of the system and reflashed with 5.7.2 the rom boots but after 30 seconds or so reboots and it does not detect my sim card. i have done this several times with and without the simcard in and it hasnt changed much. I tried 5.7.4 and was able to get into the settings menu to turn on airplane mode. This gives me another 20 seconds of so before the phone reboots but nothing now seems to work. Does anyone have any suggestions?

What recovery are you using?
You may have to use Odin to go back to complete stock, be sure to wipe data.
You then may be able to do a data-only restore from your backup

    FAQ

This will serve as a FAQ for tips, tricks and fixes.

    Update Frequency
Probably like once a week to let the RR devs make good progress.

    Root?
you must enable root access by going to settings, developer options and then selecting root access.

    Ext. SD Card.
I advise against selecting convert to internal storage. Until there is a permanent switch to marshmallow

    GPS
I made sure to get a lock before flashing RR MM, I was able to get a good lock.

    Contacts Storage
You'll just have to restart the phone as it tries to deal with contacts the first time. I've read it is due to using to large of a gapps package, but I tried pico and it still happened. Just hold the power button down until the phone restarts and that will get you past it for now until they tweak that.

    Updating same versions
I always try this order of installation of an update

    Get a GPS lock
backup with titanium backup - apps and data (nothing system)
boot to recovery and backup in TWRP

try to boot after each flash process of course.

wipe dalvik and partition cache and flash the rom
    everything works? if not then
wipe system, dalvik and partition and flash rom and gapps
    everything works? if not then
wipe system, data, dalvik and partition then flash rom and gapps and restore data in TWRP
    everything works? if not then
wipe same as above, flash rom and gapps restore apps/data using titanium backup

    Possible Bluetooth workaround
    thanks to @Forever Justice
"I did a clean flash after I backed up....gotta give system a chance to catch up, and go into Bluetooth, back out, restart Bluetooth, search, if not close and close all running g background programs and go back in an Walla...I love this ROM.... "

    Bluetooth fix
from this post. Thank you @mon@diac and @benjaminclaw for trying it out on this rom

Sorry its been a while, there are some CM updates that require cherry-picking. I've never done this so it's a pretty big learning curve. Compounded by the fact that I am disabled and my hands suck, lol I can't do much more than maybe an hour of keyboard work without having to do nothing for pretty much the rest of the day.
