Hi fellas. What is needed is something like this. This is for an old windows phone to dual boot into android. If someone can work with this, I would think it's our best shot.

No joy though:

Code:
C:\Temp\adb>adb reboot bootloader

C:\Temp\adb>fastboot oem rebootRUU

(bootloader) Start Verify: 0
OKAY [ 0.021s]
finished. total time: 0.022s

C:\Temp\adb>fastboot devices
HT438SF00530 fastboot

C:\Temp\adb>fastboot flash zip RUU.zip
target reported max download size of 1830711296 bytes
sending 'zip' (850337 KB)...
OKAY [ 24.645s]
writing 'zip'...
(bootloader) zip header checking...
(bootloader) zip info parsing...
FAILED (remote: 24 parsing android-info fail)
finished. total time: 25.064s

android-info fail... what is that.

Anyway, a fastboot reboot got me back to android. No harm, no foul.

Have you tried to flash this via the RUU mode from fast boot? using the fastboot commands below the xXXX.zip would be the actual RUU zip file on the ADB folder directory of where you should have it.

Fastboot oem rebootRUU (will get black screen with HTC only showing)
fastboot flash zip XXXxXX.zip

With that logic it would be possible to use an android rug on Windows

as long as the certificate info blown into the eFUSEs matches between the Android and Windows versions, You should be able to Goldcard flash using the Y-Cable method. that will put the whole nbh onto the device.

I have an extra HTC One (m8) with a bad power button. I have to stick something in there to make a connection. If anyone has a well thought out, risky idea, I'm game to try it.

as i understand a crucial part is missing "UEFI signed .nbh" and without that .nbh there is nothing to flash in the first place because, even if you get the .nbh posted on the first post flashed on the phone the os will not boot because the bootchain isn't correct.

if there was a JTAG dump of a m8 for windows then it could maybe work , but i also didn't see that
