Hi all,

i've owned the OPO for about 7 months now and had no troubles except for one.

Somehow a good deal of dust was able to get behind the camera glass so that I preferred using the front cam because of the nicer looking pictures it took.

Today i've disassembled the part with the camera glass on it and cleaned the inside so i can take normal pictures again.

I thought i can share it with you:

Camera glass before cleaning:

And after cleaning:

Has anybody experienced the same problem?

Kind regards,

Deox

No, but what I'm curious is how did you use this device to make the camera lens so dusty?

Dust shouldn't be able to gather underneath the glass unless it is exposed to the open.

That's a very good question!

I have no idea myself why this happened.. I have an office job and the phone always lays on a desk or is in my pocket.. and there's no dirt inside my pockets or on the desks.

I did have the same problem after 10 days of buying the phone.
I had to return the phone and I got refund for it.

Dust in camera lens

Hello,
Is that any possible way stop the dust getting inside the camera. The service center technician says dust is getting inside through 3.5mm jack is that possible?

Once you've removed the back cover (which was the hardest part for me) you only have to unscrew a few screws. But some are hidden, i suggest you to watch the ifixit teardown review while doing it. https://youtu.be/gNnUN8h_rVg
