I never thought it was a kernel issue because it started happening a couple of days after I installed r28. I'm back on r27 and it's still almost unusable. It could be a hardware issue

Have you tried a full wipe and a clean install like @Tunasty suggested?

Don't trust him. This is stupid advice.

Franco does patch the touchscreen firmware in his kernel (he copies that code, like I explained earlier). So it can very well be that the touchscreen becomes worse after a Franco kernel update. Although Franco isn't to blame.

Tunasty doesn't have your device, and this seems to be better or worse depending on the device, so he cannot know how bad it is on yours.

Not yet. I'm reluctant to. I had the same issues a couple of months ago and a kernel update fixed it
