You could overlay a gradient which would fix it software side. There already is an app for that. BTW stop talking bull**** that itīs a hardware issue itīs just the glue that needs to dry out just like on every other phone. My Nexus 5 had it also.

It is definatly no glue. After 3 months glue should have dried completly. But yellow banding is still clearly visible. I know this app you are talking about. But this company should do a better quality control and sell us not defective devices.

Itīs the glue. Try uv light or sunlight (watch out with the temps itīs bad for the battery) and it will be gone

All LCD panels have uneven color and backlighting. Some are more visible than others, presumably like yours. fwiw there's an app that fixes whatever banding you may have so you'll never have to worry about it.
