Unhappy Battery Drain.

I have kowalski's CM 10 rom with M1 kernel and some days ago I noticed that I have a bit of battery drain. My battery lasts 18-20 hours usualy. In batery option in settings menu at the top of the line is a service or program called Mediaserver that uses most of the battery. What is that? why is it using so much battery? see attached picture....

I used to have this kind of drain on ICS. I don't know if your case is similar to mine, but it may be caused by Android trying to read corrupted images.
Use SGS Toolbox:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=778244

just install the app as usual, don't do anything else that asks you to (press cancel if it asks you to install busybox)
in the main menu, press "delete corrupt images on SD"

it'll scan your media files for corrupted images and then ask you if you want to remove them, tap yes and that should do it. At least for me it worked at that time
