Just Asking
I installed latest build and it is my first TWRP with MTP feature.
I do format dalvik, cache , sytem, data and internal storage and then connect my device to PC use USB. My PC automatically detect the internal storage, after that i copy ROM and Gapps zip file to internal storage and install both of them.
After reboot, I open file manager and notice that ROM and Gapp zip file gone. Is it normal behavior?
I am asking because usually i use sideload to install ROM when I do format internal storage and the sideloded file still remain after reboot

Thanks.

I do not think they have disappeared, just that the default folder after updating TWRP has changed.
Check it and look, with the internal file explorer, if you find the location of this files.

I have had those problems. Please download again. Recovery.img must 8Mb be large. If it is less then it does not work .

Best Regards
