Did some checking, and it looks to be an issue with the DNS servers. Chrome on Android must use its own DNS independent of the OS or something. It looks to be fixed with the CM 9/17 nightlies, so it's just a matter of waiting for those changes to make their way downstream to Kang.

i always use google dns if its still being used 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
