Yes, I try to flash only version from the TWRP website.
I use now this recovery TWRP 2.8.1.0 Unofficial - .IMG File for Flashify - Stock TWRP Theme from here http://xdaforums.com/optimus-g-pro/orig-development/recovery-zip-twrp-2-8-1-0-lg-g-pro-e980-t2967855 . I can install twrp 2.8.3.0 (for f240) and 2.8.6.0 (from culot for e980) but can not install your img 2.8.7.0. Can you give me your zip file recovery 2.8.7.0? One man said that he installed 2.8.7.0 zip file from twrp 2.8.5.0. I am going to try install 2.8.7.0 from 2.8.6.0. I have E988 (TWN).
Wow. I did wipe cache and davlik in twrp 2.8.6.0 and flashed img twrp 2.8.7.0 in Flashify at last. I do not know what happened before. Everything working now
. nerdyblonde, thank you for this recovery. By the way, why in this recovery does not work timeout screen and Backup modem? These work good in twrp 2.8.6.0 from culot.

I just flashed this recovery yesterday, and so far so good. I have always been interested in using twrp, but the older version can't read the external sddisk on my device. Thank you for creating this recovery, now I can use something else other than cwm. Also, there is an easier way to flash the .img file. Go to the play store and down load an app call flashfy. With flashfy you no longer need to bother with the unreliable terminal emulator, or having to get newer twrp(if I have that in the first place, why will I need this?) To flash the .img file. All you need to do is run the app and flash the file. It's much easier than the older methods.

It worked on my E988, so it should work on every other E98x variant.
@nerdyblonde, thank you for working on this. Recovery is working like a charm, haven't tested OTG yet but sideload and MTP are working properly so I'm happy.
You might have done something wrong. Download it from teamw.in and install it with flashfy....
Then, reboot into recovery and try again.
Have you installed it this way?
Is there any flashable zip version of this recovery? I'm currently stuck on Philz recovery and cannot boot to OS. So, I really need this zip thanks.
Flashed this and it worked. Now, I can boot to android, thanks alot mate, you've just saved the day :highfive::fingers-crossed:

Can you please attach or mirror the latest .img. wanna flash with flashify. It seems official download link is not downloading properly. Only 5.86kb file. But website says its 10.xmb

I'm pleased to present you guys with the latest TWRP recovery for the LG Optimus G Pro - E980.
TeamWin has officially picked up our device (E980), and I am the maintainer.
All functions are working properly except ADB Sideload, which states it needs a
higher version of ADB installed on the computer, even though the proper version is installed.
I found some workarounds on Google, so if you need to use sideload, research the error.
*Full SeLinux Support is present
*MTP Support
*USB-OTG
*If you go into bootloop after flashing recovery, clear cache & dalvik and reboot.
*If you go into bootloop on a restore, do a complete wipe before you restore.

IMPORTANT!!- I am not liable for anything that happens to anyone's device in the process of flashing.
I have fully tested this version of TWRP on my LG E980, and it is all working properly.
Please know the basic steps for flashing recoveries, and the steps to take in case your phone is softbricked (basically, return to stock).
If something cool happens in the process of flashing, like a meteor falls in your yard, let us know about it!
I will try to answer any questions the best I can, but I hope that some of the XDA users that have
helped so much in my other thread will pitch in and help when needed.

@z31s1g has made materialized themes for TWRP that are awesome.. Many color choices. Make sure to read the instructions to apply the theme correctly. I now have my pink theme I have always wanted, haha.. There are also splash screens on there.. Make sure to thank him for those!33I posted a new .img file I just compiled today.. If anyone wants to try it, please post the results. Working on the F240 now.
