this will show the original sent time by the sender in the sms message (from now on) instead of misleading received time when the message arrives

for me it's very misleading, so i made this

be sure the original Mms.odex is renamed/removed

EDIT problems with jpy version, removed temporarily

jpy fixed and work now

sorry, for not providing any instructions coz i was in a hurry yesterday as to fix the jpy's problem since there are some changes in jpy

Is there any chance of making a version that shows both? Sent and received? I get a lot of international messages so the sent time can be just as confusing as the received time.

Just tried. Force closes. :(

On JPY though.

I noticed that the file size differences are huge. 1.x mb (modded) vs 2.x mb stock.

My 2 cents...modified apks have resources.arsc compressed, original files have uncompressed one...in my esperience when i try to modify settings.apk i have a FC when resources are compressed...is it possible to have the same problem for mms.apk?

maybe u can try the non-deodexed version i just uploaded

Haha... My rom is already deodexed, by the way. I'll take a look later and see the differences between modded and stock, as well as the huge mb differences.

I'm not @ my com now. :)

Nice finally someone taking notice of this and doing something about it. Hopefully it will work without any problems eventually !
Can you upload screenshots?
And yes, would be nice if it speed both sent and received

Well I'm either gonna try this one or start using handcent which is supposed to be superior to the default app.

edit: handcent has the same issue lol.

Nice work, this has always annoyed me!

Just wondering if you will be releasing information on how you did this, so people can understand and when new rims come around. Can easily be implemented.

Thanks

Dan
