Hi Antaed,

I'm having the same issue with weather as you atm and I can't update my location.
Even downloading sattelites with quickGPS is not possible. It was working all the time but today it isn't so it must be a temporary issue.

Concerning your second problem, it seems like Twitter is doing something again. :D
It was working a couple of days ago but it suddenly stopped working.
Probably Twitter has updated security certificates for the server.
If you do a little searching here on the board you will see this rom is not the only one.

I'm affraid both are temporary problems and hopefully they dissapear soon. ;)

Hello Antaed,

1) does it work over wifi ? for me it worked to turn OFF 3G auto mode in wireless controls.

2) from what i have read there is some login probelm with tweeter from mobile devices (not sure what, as i dont use it)

In the roms I applied a hotfix from HTC as this problem was there before with the Twitter server.
Twitter was working fine with this hotfix all the time untill 3 days ago.
If a new hotfix comes available from HTC I will apply it again to the roms.

Soon as I know something I will let you know.

Fingers crossed as I do miss Twitter and probably a lot of other people.

I've updated my Bull's Eye slider with icons for the extra tabs included in this ROM (RSS & Facebook) - see attached.

IMPORTANT:
- The default selector is green, if you want another color go to my thread (link in my signature), download and install;
- Don't install the slider cab from my thread, it is not updated with the new tab icons! The only updated slider for this ROM is the one attached here!

Very nice!
If you want to change the text colours for the RSSTab you can and it can be packaged up together as a theme. Just let me know and I'll point you in the right direction.

It's all in the spirit of xda, just like the guys on here and the guys behind the manila kitchen etc etc. It's great to be part of.

I had a brainwave this afternoon which will hopefully bring some new things to the tabs. It is a cunning plan of much cunningness.

Got a lot of testing and experimenting to do with it, but it'll be worth it. It'll give me something to in between betas lol. Just hope I can hold my tongue until I've got the basics done.

I keep crashing this thread, so I'll shift off to mine! ;)

Hi guys,

i am back in business here on XDA. After the very hard week in france (champange) and only 24 hours sleep, i will go back to work here on saturday evening. I am now 20 minutes at home at the 1st thing is my internet. I had have no internet the whole week, aaahhhh. Can you imagine how hard that was for me :D.

And i am back for the next beta test. So let's start today...

I remember seeing you some time ago on the HD2 WP7 development forum.
Am I right to suppose you'll switch to WP7 instead of Android with your next phone?
What's your view on the future of WP7 development?
I'm asking because I also have to decide the way to go sooner or later and I could use some knowledgeable opinions.

Hi Antaed,

You are probably right about that yes. :)

I do prefer WP7 above Android but I like to wait for a phone that has a faster processor then 1 ghz.
Android is not my thing and if WP7 has multitasking plus copy/paste to my opinion that's the best option.
But I do think this all will take another year and I'm not in a hurry to buy a new phone as I still love my HD2. :D

    Translated and ported 90 % applications from Chinees HTC Oboe 1.18 stock rom.
    Other sources used are HTC Photon and HTC Rhodium stock roms and offcource Leo ;-)

    Most Applications are supported by landscape inclusive the dialer.

    The dialer is unique and you even won't find full rotation support on HD2 stock roms.
    All HD2 stock roms the dialer lags on incoming call and rotate back to landscape automatic.
    This is pretty anoying if you have navigation running in the car.

    The dialer included in rom is patched and you can call and receive your calls perfect in landscape.

    I like to give a special thanks to Cracing and Ultrashot and all other people HERE for the help on fixing the dialer.

    A few need to knows:

    If you use the roms we highly appriciate your feedback and thank you, it keeps us going.
    Before you decide to report a bug, keep in mind that the more you tell about your configuration (think about software, software version, tweaks, radio etc)
    the faster we are able to analyse and help you.
    The roms contain the latest applications and drivers, before installing a application please check the developers website of the software you are using if no updates are available.
    Installing a hotfix from HTC isn't necassary as we keep everything up to date, if a hotfix is needed we will tell you.
    If you like to install applications you don't know it's better to do it one by one and test for a short period if the application doesn't create errors.
    The rom comes with most features you need preïnstalled, right after flashing we recommend you to use the rom for a day or two and explore the features before you install any application.
    This will give you a clear view about which applications are present and if everything is working as it should.
    HSPL 3.03 doesn't support the 576 MB ram tweak enabled in rom, so please use the recommended HSPL SPL 2.08 if you want to benefit whole memory.

    Other sources I use are coming from latest HD2 HTC 3.14 stock roms available in more languages.

    Sys builds after 23148 like 23157, 23158, 23160, 23161 I can't find anywhere on the internet and I have my doubts if they are authentic.

    I will never use sources in my roms that aren't shared to play fair with all the great people in this community who share the fantastic apps, tools, bug fixes I use in my roms.

    Hello everyone,

    Finally we have a new ROM available. :)

    Again this rom is cooked from scratch and we like to continue with the Platinum Series in a different way.
    I would like to continue cooking with one rom that I can expand into multiple languages and skins.
    At the moment we have WWE, GER, NLD and new SPA added, but more languages will follow asap.

    The ROM has all the features on board that you are used in the previous full version (v3.5) with a few modifications.
    Manila documents tab has been removed but can now be downloaded as cab in all languages thanks to my buddy Rataplan who translated them and made the cabs.

    The Manila Core is based on Vodafone stock rom with Manila home v.2022 with 9 shortcuts and doesn't contain the RSS Widget anymore.
    Aldo this Manila Core is from a Vodafone stock rom CHT Team managed to import all the better looking images from the Oboe Core.

    After flashing the rom on default Manila rotates as in a stock rom.
    If you like you can install the new Rotation cab I've made and that will make the whole rom rotate (the cab hides the incompatible Footprints tab)

    There's changed a lot in the engine and we worked on every detail!

    Some other changes:

    • Threaded e-mail taken from MS build 23568
    • The Digital compass has now 'SET Destination' and works with Google maps
    • I've also added 'Opera Config' in Settings/System
    • File explorer extension removed (I've removed it because it freezes the rom when you try to end it as running task with Dotfred's Taskmanager)
    • Start menu is rearanged and improved
    • All .TSK's removed exept the black and blue one (Oboe imported)

    For people who like the RSS Widget on home, I'm sorry but I like to continue with this Manila as it rotates perfect
    so you won't see the RSS widget anymore in any futher releases.

    If you like to have 4 shortcuts in a row on Manila home or like to customise Manila I recommend you to use Co0kie's hometab
    version 1.8.5 or 2.0

    3 new roms are online.

    • L26 HD2Platinum Series v.3.5 29022 WWE Full (extra manila documents and footprints tabs included, no full landscape!)
    • L26 HD2Platinum Series v.3.5 29022 WWE Rotation/Opera 9 flash (full landscape supported)
    • L26 HD2Platinum Series v.3.5 29022 WWE Rotation/Opera 10 flash (full landscape supported)

    What's done:

    • New Microsoft build 29022
    • 29022 does include VOIP drivers by default
    • Improved wifi performance (CHT Team)
    • Blinking charge icon (CHT Team)
    • Updated Googlemaps to v.4.1.1
    • New phone icon in start menu
    • New Voice speeddial icon in start menu
    • Opera 9 downgraded to v.9_70_36023_0 (v.9_70_36053_0 in Platinum v3)
    • U-Task removed

    The next couple of days I will update all other language roms plus the other build to v3.5.

    ROMFLASH INSTRUCTIONS:

    Please remember that flashing a rom removes all data from memory and set your phone to 'factory' default.
    Before you start you must make sure that you have a backup of your phone data like contacts/agenda/photos/bookmarks/ etc.

    All the roms I've packed with 7zip , you need to install this program first on your pc in order to unpack the rom.

    In the folder you unpacked are 2 files:

    * CustomRUU.exe
    * RUU_Signed_0409.nbh (depending on the language you choose for download)

    Important: in order to flash the rom to your device you must use HSPL3 and flash SPL 2.08 HSPL first.

    You can find earlier HSPL2 with more instructions how to flash HERE at XDA-Developers

    After you flashed first 2.08 HSPL as suggested above you can place the device in bootloader.

    To do this, switch off the device and press volume down button plus the call ignore hardware button at the same time.

    You will see a four coloured screen and at the top it must say following:

    SPL-2.08.HSPL

    * If you don't see this info you did something wrong and you must go back to first step about HSPL described above and try again.

    If you're sure this is ok you can connect your device to pc and run

    CustomRUU.exe

    Follow the instructions on screen.

    When the flash is started don't touch the device and let it finish.

    If you are a romflash aholic (flash many roms :p) I suggest a hardreset one more time after flash is done.

    Is the rom still not performing good and do you have ORD (obsessive rom flashing disorder)? ;)
    Then we recommend you to use Advanced ROM Update Utility by Barin for Leo HD2 HERE
