Easiest to install through ROM manager.

You don't install img files that way, you install PG58IMG.zip files that way. I've attached one with the CWM to this post but you can always create your own by replacing the recovery.img in this zip with a newer one (must always be named/renamed recovery.img though).

You flash recovery img files through the bootloader with 'fastboot flash recovery recovery.img'. You must have fastboot set up on your PC and an eng or Revolutionary hboot.
