23rd March 2012 - Message from the developer here

I believe that our Sensation can do a lot more / be a lot faster / and therefore we can be more productive than with the Sense ROMs.

CM7 for the Sensation is not there yet, so without further ado, I present a ROM with Sense, but with everything working that is needed (excellent Camera, SD card speeds just fine, etc)

I also like to customize my own apps in a given ROM, so any simple/minimalistic ROM is a plus for me.

I therefore present to all who like this approach my very own HyperNonSense ROM release, built from scratch by me.

What you get:
- Simple, minimalistic ROM to be a good base for your everyday needs (those who like every app to be in there "out-of-the-box" should steer clear)

1. When you are finished setting up the device, do a normal reboot and then you will have normal operations!
3. I have deleted a number of apps so that the ROM can be as lean and minimalistic as possible. If you find you need any apps that I have deleted, go to post #3 (Addons and Extras) and you will most likely find the app you need there!

- Update: All AOSP apps merged with AOKP Milestone 4 (build date 2012.03.08.) (thanks to roman and his team HERE)
- Update: Facebook contact sync now fully works
- Update: New Gallery from GAPPS latest, with working Settings menu
- Update: Replaced NovaLauncher with ApexLauncher
- Fix: Themeing - completely merged theme with CM9. Now all icons, colors, etc look like ICS!
- Fix: Settings/Sounds now correctly shows "Default ringtone"
- Fix: APM now fully works (when entering reboot menu) - thanks to wxdjs for the fix!
- Fix: reverted to a slighty bigger HTC resource file for any HTC addon compatibility
- Fix: removed HTC App Usage Statistics Service from services.jar

Patch 1:

If you are installing fresh, just flash right after installing the ROM base.

Superwipe is needed! Also, from recovery before install, you need to delete the following directory: SDCard/Android

Latest FIRMWARE is needed (currently 3.32). Download from THIS post.

- Update: Media Provider changed to CM9's provider (10Mb RAM freed and faster)
- Update: New Google Market app, now called Google Play Store
- Remove: CM9 Music app (too many errors)
- Update: New Google Music app, now called Google Play Music
- Fix: cleared out even more stuff from the HTC resource file
- Fix: changed the fallback font, 3Mb saved
- Fix: all USB related dialogs have been corrected
- New: a lot of tweaks have been implemented from all over XDA
- New: Supercharger mods included in services.jar (thanks to zeppelinrox)

Good to know:
- If you want predictive texting, flash the dictionary addon from post #3 right after flashing the ROM
- Wallpaper will be messed up on initial boot, after a restart it will be OK
- Remember to turn on data usage in Phone Settings!

Update for HyperNonSense v1.3 (patch 1)

- Update: New Gallery from Google, with working Settings menu
- Fix: APM now fully works (when enetering reboot menu) - thanks to wxdjs for the fix!
- Fix: WIFI Hotspot patch now really makes WIFI Hotspot work!
- Possible fix: MMS uploads might be fixed (have not tested it myself)

Just reboot into recovery and flash without wiping.

HyperNonSense v1.2 changelog, released 2012.03.04.

Superwipe is NOT needed!

- Update: rebased to HTC's release 3.32.401.5
- Fix: Haptic feedback is back to normal
- Fix: Music lockscreen controls now work (thanks to the Virtuous Team)
- Fix: Removed a few logging services within the android framework

HyperNonSense v1.1 changelog, released 2012.03.02.

Superwipe is needed, as its a new base

- Update: rebased to HTC's release 3.32.401.3
- Update: Google Talk updated to latest version (4.0.4)
- Fix: Music lockscreen controls turned off by default
- Fix: Hardware menu key will NOT unlock the lockscreen
- Remove: Setup Wizard... who used that anyways???
- Milestone: Finally hit the 100Mb benchmark (ROM is now 99.71Mb)

Good to know:

- Fix: No more phone FC's!!! (thanks to splder for the huge testing time)
- Fix: Cursors changed to ICS style + GPS icon fixed
- Add: Torch app from CM9
- Remove: A lot of even more leftover HTC services...
- Update: Music app reverted to stock CM9 player instead of the beta one
- Update: Kernel level memory optimizations implemented
- Update: Few CM9 apk's from latest latest Nexus S build (MMS and Contacts)
- Update: LatinIME from latest CM9 build without dictionaries (remember to disable predictive texting!!!)

Good to know:
- Music Lockscreen controls still not fixed, just go into Music's Settings-Customization and disable Lockscreen Controls.

- Bookmark sync addon
- Dictionaries for the keyboard - Danish, German, Greek, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Hebrew, Portugese, Russian, Swedish +CS +NL
- Gmail addon
- Stock CM9 sounds (notifications, ringtones and alarms)
- TTS addon
- Videochat enabler for Google Talk
- WIFI hotspot addon

WIFI calling patch can be found HERE (I have not tested it presonally)

Hyper Theme

For now, only frameworks, SystemUI and Contacts have been themed, but they cover 90% of the ROM.

Download HERE - Just reboot into recovery and flash without any wipe.

FAQ

Q: I get Force Closes, Media does not show, random errors, etc.

A: Follow my flashing guide in THIS post. I have no trouble with HyperNonSense after these steps.

Lol heyyyyyyyy awesome! I'll download this tomorrow. 4.1.7 is sense 3.5 base right?

Just 2 questions-
Does this also come with faux 025 kernel tweaked by mike?
Is the volume bar a slider thing? (like sense 3 has a bar that moves up and down only and you can use the touch screen while its there but sense 3.5 has a slider thingy in the volume bar which I think is ridiculous and absolutely hate cos you can't use the rest of the touch screen like normal every time you change the earphone volume.... Its the one thing that keeps me away from sense 3.5.. Is it possible to just get the normal volume bar? Like sense 3 and cm7)

Awesome! I love your minimalistic rom but prefer to have the Sense Camera (and some sense apps like message and dialer also)

Rom looks good be running now for a bit setting it up its fast, my only suggestions or request i would say, more quick settings in notification bar pull down, itd be nice to have the notification bar tweaks like the other sense 3.5 roms, beats mod, amaze camara, unless those can just be flashed. Other then that this is exactly what i been looking for now that the old senseless roms have no update.

I am already looking into extended quick settings. Beats addon should work, just try installing it. I do not like the Amaze camera, as its cumbersome to change settings from normal to HDR pictures.

On stock Rom or ARHD, that app isnt working... :-(

Sorry, I never try Car Home, as it only works with Google Maps, and I use Navigon and Sygic...

Maybe someone who uses it can report back.

Google car Home is Working !!!

Great news for me, that was the only app that could not work on ARHD and that i had on CM7.
