Sorry buddy i had to revert back to siyah. Firstly cwm not recognizing the kernel and saying its unknown that is a big issue for me. Yes recovery works fine and everything else feels buttery smooth. But what i like about siyah is that i can choose a governor out of the box. Listen i shall give it a test drive but if someone can verify why cwm is not recognizing the kernel i would appreciate it. Anyway well done for your work. Plus for me overclocking as well i love my phone speedy.

sure mate. take your time. we all have priorities.

right now I just cook roms. never tried to build a kernel.

maybe in future I'll try. who knows.

what rom are you on buddy and what version of cwm apk are you using? everything seems fine with the kernel when i flashed it except cwm not recognizing the kernel....i know its not a major issue but im a bit of a neat freak..i like everything on my phone to be working fine..and from scrolling with the kernel it looks and feels smooth...:( just gutted that i can not seem to find the problem..flashed everything wiped and installed the rom and nothing...KL1 compare to KK5 never had any issues...

I'm having the black horizontal screen lines since 1.3x. Same problem I'm getting when using siyah 2.6.x and hyperdroid. I don't know what's wrong with my phone. These lines weren't showing on ICS and AOSP ROMs.. :(

Anyone else experiencing this? Or is it just me?

I had the same issue, when by mistake i denied permission to CWM app.Check in the superuser and toggle the permission to allow if its denied.

I guessed you are using cwm 3.0, which has certain features disabled if you are not using a CF Root kernel. You have to change to CWM 2.0.

auto brightness levels

Hi Simone, any chance in adding an option for lower auto brightness levels in the next release for better battery? You can give us an option to enable/disable it in cwm recovery.

Reduce performance and increase battery ife.


After testing, something weird happen. I went to bed at 6 with 62% battery. Woke up at 12 and phone was shut off. Battery was 0 but I remember I off everything before I went to bed. Gonna try further as it might uv problem.

i had a similar problem here.For 1 hours sleeping the phone eat about 6% of the battery.But this night after deepsleeping for about 9 hours i hade 3
% down,wich is very goood.Hope this problem is not something bad and to be fixed by it owns.

Same with me. 02:00 AM 75% of battery when i finish with playing.
Today 09:00AM i take out the battery to start the phone. Battery is now 20%. Everithing was off before sleep.

Just charged full. I am going to use it normal and see if everything is OK. I wonder why deepsleep eating so much battery.

I don't share these frightening results... After installing 1.3 I charged my phone to 100%. Seven hours later it was 98% when I woke up. Loving it very much, runs extremely smooth on VR and Lionheart.

    NEAK CONFIGURATOR APP: What is that?
    FREE ----> PRO PAID ----> ​
    The new NEAK CONFIGURATOR APP is now available into both ANDROID MARKET and YAAM (Yet Another Android Market)

    THIS APP IS MADE BY SIMONE201 AND NRK_2K (member of near team)

    It is a useful app to help people use the special customizable features of NEAK kernel, without going into recovery.

    It now includes also the NEAK Downloader, useful to download the NEAK OTA Updater app!

    The new CONFIGURATOR PRO will also allow you to have full control of every NEAK feature!!

    NEAK OTA UPDATER: How it works
    THE NEAK UPDATER CAN BE DOWNLOADED ONLY WITH THE NEAK CONFIGURATOR APP!! (section downloader)
    Run it, and let it download the new NEAK OTA Updater app, that will be auto installed easily :)

    Every time there will be any updates, u will be advised by the app itself, or just push CHECK NOW to see if there are updates! :D

    Is fully based on GingerMod Updater, with some mods to be kernel compatible and to have full support for CWM5 flashing

    If an there is an update, just click on DOWNLOAD and when the download is finished the app will ask to reboot to recovery now or later....

    If you choose later, then you can go to the app section EXISTING and flash the downloaded zip from there! :)

    NEAK OTA UPDATER: Extras
    To let the EXTRAS part available, do this:

    MENU BUTTON ----> Configuration ----> Extra Update Settings ----> Manage Extra Servers ----> MENU BUTTON ----> Update Featured Extra Servers

    The NEAK Extra server will appear, then you will be able to update the EXTRAS part and see the new amazing extras additions for NEAK KERNEL!!

    NEAK Configurator Pro!!

    NEAK Configurator Pro App scheduled released date 17/18 March.

    The pro app in its first release will offer full neak kernel options and settings control.
    There will be a lot of exciting features to come in future updates as we improve upon everything. The NEAR team aims to give its users the best possible experience on the SGSII now and into the future!!
    We will be eagerly awaiting feedback once the app goes live, as we wish to incorporate all the features our users find important into the app if we can. :D:D:D
