this is exactly the same as the one of N00b right?

edit: i downloaded it, but it seems you are missing some files there, but i dont see the point of uploading something, thats already been done by N00by.

n the beginning ... YES ... of N00by and this is similar. (one in Spanish and one in German, from the same method)

They have climbed the 3 files that are NAND which initially asked to do a ZIP.

From the beginning I said we did not know if it was a fake or not ...

Can anyone say if it is a FAKE? ... So we know whether to believe or not our friend.

Sorry for me English

if they do the same method. Can you share the method of rooting ? (it will be easier to say it's fake or not)

Here, I explain everything:

Hi, HTCMANIA (SPAIN) we have a user who believes that its root is BLACK.

This is what he did:
AHM122; said:
Well let's see, in relation to the root I am going to comment as I did step by step process.

Nigtly had installed 32.
I did the 6 wipes and retrieve my copy nand stock orange rom.
Install directly from the official German kdz through this tutorial
http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=18946763&postcount=1
Everything perfect and kept restarting all my applications installed and went out directly in Spanish.
Then try to root
http://www.unlockroot.com/
and here is the funny thing Aplis reset and deleting all in German, but rooot.
In summary to help you be rooot like me, please someone knowledgeable to tell me how to do it step by step, then I indicated my concerns.

1. When you do not lose Har reset the root? How do I do?
2. How do I upload a copy of the nand? Which had weighed 900 m
3. Security may not remove any personal data such as passwords of my nand?

Well actually that would be delighted to help you.

We do not really know what to do ... so we rely on XDA

PS: Sorry for my English but not speak it properly, so I used

Unlock with ROOT Root

Only N00by AHM122 and have been able

Only AHM122 and N00by shared their NAND

It's not a Fake. He did it! I don't know how but it's true.
I'm using it for a couple of hours and after installing busybox and updating the superuser binary everything works perfekt.

Are you installed N00BY version?

How you installed it?

how do you to see which version is true? ... (prove it is not manipulated)

do you understand me? My english is very bad... and I use google translator

I've installed n00by version (3rd version) with restore option in CWM. Don't try your friend version but don't have reason to doubt it is real.

ps: no problem to understand your english (google translator is not too bad ^^)

I was on v20b unofficial from redy2006, i downloaded noobys backup and in clockworkmod i made advanced restore and restored only boot and system. After that i installed busybox with busybox installer from market and updated the superuser binary.

So no hope for those that have already installed the v20n through KDZ? :|
We have to find a new exploit?

I made this thread in order to discuss possibilities of how to root the latest software for our phone. It's about v20N mainly. Let's try to keep this one clean and root our phone ;)
You can already find a procedure for V20B here: Root V20b
FIND ROOT FOR V20n HERE Root V20N

    Methods tried and fail:

    http://www.unlockroot.com/? not clear yet...
    unlockroot (not clear yet...)
    Gingerbreak different Versions
    SuperOneClick 2.3.3
    Blackjack 1.2.0
adb push wont work for me at least...
    SoC
    z4root
    vipermod
    thrill
    doomlord all version
    androidnerds.net/2011/10/08/lg-esteem-oneclickroot-now-ready/
Gingersnap Root Itility tells me it succeeded, but root still aint present...
    adding that ratc exploit

    Working so far:
    adb install *.apk
According to Redpik: "Superoneclick 2.3.3 was able to copy busybox into /system/tmp but couldn't find the glitch."
Local rooting, since some apps like rootchecker show our phone is rooted
As it seems, Unlockroot also works for some with v20n, maybe even others, if they disable the LGE Modem.

I somehow managed to root it by aproxymately doing this:
    Enable debugging mode
    Disable LGE Modem
    Plug in USB cable
    open UnlockRoot
    click root
    REBOOT and DONE!

    Code:
-edited-, cause it didnt work with the method posted before.

    Kill adb server
    Starting adb server...
    Get online devices
    Try LGE shell rooting...
push file to device : rootutility
    chmod file 755 rootutility
    Restarting debug mode...
    Waiting for debug mode...
push file to device : busybox
push file to device : su
    chmod file 755 busybox
push file to device : Superuser.apk
    Rooting, please wait...
    Root Succeed!
    Root finished!

Noone could reproduce the root till now, but I'll keep on trying.

It somehow worked and I made a nandroid of this. Link below...
    How to flash it:
    1. unzip the file
    2. Take the whole folder and put it on ur SD card under sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/
    3. You need a rooted phone where you can access recovery by either using a app like RomManager or by adb shell via: adb reboot recovery (thnx to gabwerkz, since I didnt know)
    4. reboot to recovery either via command or APP
    5. choose backup and restore
    6. choose restore
    7. choose the foldername u just put onto ur SD card

    alternatively (PRO USERS ONLY)
    go till step 5
and then choose whatever you wanna have

Thats it so far. Maybe a MOD can take this thread and moderate it, since I hardly have time (but if possible also gimme right to edit it).
You also will find the solution in this post, as soon as any1 made it ;)

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Seems like I made it ;)
here is the link to a complete NANDROID BACKUP
    http://www.multiupload.com/ZGYX5J4AG1
ITS rooted V20N GB software for p970.
THIS IS NOT A FLASHABLE ZIP! UNPACK IT AND FOLLOW GUIDE ABOVE!

IF you want a flashable zip, pls go to Redy's thread, he repacked and added some tweaks ;)

    http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1441901

    Big thanks to Redy!!

Or use Zeus ROM by huexxx: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1454274

DO A FACTORY RESET AFTER FLASHING, WILL FIX SOME PROBLEMS!

Mick2K suggested me to post, that you should install busybox after the procedure and update su binaries, so that everything works fine.

I dont know, just felt kinda attacked... maybe I just got it the wrong way, cause I only slept 4 hours tonight, had a test and so on... I am just tired  And because noone believes me I made to root it... But it ll change now, I'm quite sure bout this ;)
    Thanks for the help

    -edit-
And userfriendly as I am, I already changed the language to english, so if u do the full restore I guess it should be in english completely :)
And maybe you ll need to change sms service center adress, since mine might be different...

dxdiag asked me in google talk if I had any ideas on this, so here's a summary of what I know:

    1. Use a tool like ZergRush

Acquiring root is basically 2 steps: 1. Get into the ramdisk and change the ro.secure flag on default.prop. This will give you su shell access. 2. Inject on system partition the su binary and superuser application.

ZergRush has the most updated binary for exploiting and reaching ro.secure. If it doesn't work, I doubt any other will, including SuperOneClick shell root.

Make sure to follow all the instructions: you need to enable "unknown sources" and "usb debugging".

    2. Flash a recovery through fastboot and then just flash superuser binary and app.

    Can't be done on P970.

    3. Grab the KDZ, unpack and convert it into a flashable package. Edit default.prop and add superuser binary and app. Flash via recovery.

Can't be done on P970 because the KDZ has a WDB inside and we miss the file with partition information.

So as you can see, there's not much to do.
Just roll back and flash another rootable KDZ or wait for a new exploit to come.

How my ThankMeter keeps going up, is insane :D just because of a rooted backup ;)
    3
sure, that was my plan :)

edit: uploading it now, will be up soon.
