You mean you did this in CWM recovery? Because I hastily flashed the stock ROM when it wouldn't boot, and then I couldn't get into the recovery anymore and there was no way to flash CWM recovery from PC Odin, or is there?
SD you mean internal? Since with external you just pull it out...
This was my worst experience as well, and want to be ready if it ever happens again.
So to sum it up. If the /data is messed up, should we do the following?
1. In CWM recovery clear cache, clear hidden.
2. Flash stock e3 recovery.
3. In stock recovery wipe everything.
4. Flash stock ROM.
5. Boot.
6. Flash CWM recovery.
7. Restore backup.
Step 0. Flash stock rom
Step 0a. If you can now get to 3e recovery menu, goto step 3
I used adb and shell commands to do step 1 via insecure cwm.
Yes, and it may be important that the stock and 3e recoveries correspond with the stock when you got your device (ie. I reverted it back to as I got it from shop, I'm not sure if essential).
Regarding the CWM flash. Ezynow development thread has a tar Odin flashable CWM for !!!P6800 only!!!. If you are not using this one, how did you get your cwm. This may be the actual cause of the problem, as the P6800 partitions are different from other tabs, and a generic CWM will be flashing (and backing up) the wrong partitions (I would check file sizes of your backup - specially boot.img and recovery.img should both be exactly 8M, and system approx rom size, data depends on apps-200M+ ).
please i have the same problem, where i find the stock e3 recovery?
thanks Davp!
