hey.. i had a couple of issues with the 13.4 yesterday so i just reinstalled it. i followed the guide to the exact number of reboots as well.

now i don't have the same issues as before. but the phone is very slow and laggy a couple of FCs for the xperia home itself :( also had a wlod once or twice.. and the status bar suddenly disappears

i'm using the same kernel as given in the guide.. although i didn't flash it before installing 13.4 since i already had it for 13.2.. can some1 help? should i flash the kernel before installing anyway? or is there some other issue?

clean install guide

Since i see many ppl with weird bugs and things that dont work, i asked several ppl to send me a pm of that troubles getting their installation working properly...

Plenty of ppl sent me a message so i figured i make a dummy proof guide. and if you still get bugs, wlods or other weirdness, please, send me your X10 and go buy an i-phone :p

here goes:

No worries, glad i can offer assistance!

Flashing FeraVolts rom:

Before flashing make sure you back up your contacts, and then backup your sd-card to your hard drive.

1. Make sure you download the following files:
X10_2.3.3_Th_kernel-n1.1-BootManager-v2.0.ftf
X10_2.3.3_Th_kernel-n1.1_wifi.zip
FeraLab v13.4 Rom file (zip)
Fix.zip
2. First off, make sure that all you wanted to back up is backup and stored on your pc and not on your sd card anymore.
3. Use the flashtool to flash the Th_kernel-n1.1-Bootmanager-v2.0.ftf
4. when this is done reboot the phone. After reboot again, but then into xrecovery

- Within Xrecovery: –

5. Do a factory wipe (full wipe)
6. Format System
7. Format Cache
8. Format Data
9. Format SDCARD
10. Clear dalvik cashe
11. Fix permissions
12. Mount USB
13. Copy a folder with the following files onto the sdcard:
X10_2.3.3_Th_kernel-n1.1_wifi.zip
FeraLab v13.4 Rom file (zip)
Fix.zip
14. Go back to main menu, flash custom zip file
15. Select Feravolts rom file. Flashing this will take a while
16. After it is finished, select flash custom zip file
17. Select Fix.zip, wait till it is finished, which is rather fast.
18. Go to main menu and reboot. First boot will take a while so be patient.

- After flashing: -

19. When boot is finished, enter simcard pincode and walk thru the setup, BUT DO NOT ENTER ANY ACCOUNT NAMES OR PASSWORDS JUST YET, just skip account information, and SELECT NO FOR SYNCHRONIZATION.
20. Go to settings and set the screen time out from 30 seconds to 10 minutes. (you can put this back later)
21. Reboot. On second boot, just let your phone be, for about 5 minutes, smoke some weed and make some coffee.
22. After about 5 to 10 minutes, reboot phone into xrecovery.
23. Flash custom zip file and select the Th_kernel wifi module. When it is done reboot
24. your phone is nearly epic now.
25. when boot is finished go to Smanager, select the ~FeraLab~ folder, then Scripts folder
Select the Extra_RAM_Swap.sh file
26 Select the SU and Boot icons and select RUN. Let the script run. When it is finished, select close.
27. reboot.
28. make your accounts, and connect your wifi to do your stuff.
29. Enjoy this kickass Rom
30. Make a donation to Fera is you can.
31. And thank author if this install setup has helped you!

I have flashed this way a few times, just to see if this way was without errors or weird bugs. This method of flashing worked for me every time. Hope it works for you aswell. Market works, camera works, home button works, Google maps works, basically everything works.

PS... I couldnt care less if Swiftkey doesnt work. I dont use it, so dont ask!

FeraVolt v13.5

For ppl flashing 13.5 my install guide of 13.4 can be used with a few adjustments:

13. Copy a folder with the following files onto the sdcard:
X10_2.3.3_Th_kernel-n1.1_wifi.zip
FeraLab v13.5 Rom file (zip)
(((Fix.zip))) <-- no longer valid
14. Go back to main menu, flash custom zip file
15. Select Feravolts rom file. Flashing this will take a while
16. After it is finished, select flash custom zip file
17. (((Select Fix.zip))) <-- no longer valid

ofcourse if you are going to use Fera's Kernel, flash that at the start in stead of Th_Kernel. your call, since Fea=ra's kernel is based on DooMKerneL i think its just a matter of preference. Am still interested to see the specs of Fera's Kernel.
