The cab worked for opening the advanced settings, and I set to HSDPA and HSUPA and it sticks so far. My speeds were good before, but the mobile browser and speed tests are erratic, I'll have to get to a good location to check tethered. Not a big deal, but do you have to change the icons? I was pretty good with the large icon and a smaller one over the bars, is it possible to do a cab without the icon changes? Not a big deal, but if you can that would be great.

yes no problem, here is a cab that leaves the icons untouched. The icons do not need to be changed for better speeds, I just found over all the years having a winmo device, that they are more informative and less confusing than the original setting, because they show connected (arrows) and type of connection (E, 3G or H) on the left icon and your signal strength on the right icon, instead of mixing the information between the two.

Network speed seems to be *VERY* dependent on time of day and location. No one has reported anything past 3mbit yet, so the network is definitely a big factor. For me these fixes have brought solid 1200-1800 speeds compared to the original super slow (<700) speed.
