I guess I needed emmc_recover when I bricked my previous device(s) - or is that what the LP unbricker uses?. I guess the new version is what's allowing us this access while the HBOOT partition is writable?

this method to achieve s-off is VERY similar to the method unknownforce used on the evo3D:

Anywho, this method worked for the shooter for s-on folks, possibly some of the info contained above can help refine THIS method for the LTE, maybe even some creation for tools. I have told closeone (he made that last link tool) and maybe he'll decide to look into it for the LTE, maybe not.
