No matter what I do, version 3 always fails to flash. Anyone else have this problem, or know how to fix it?
Have you followed these steps?
Install ViperXL 3.0.0
-Download the ViperXL 3.0.0 from the download section
-Download the fix for proper root permission from the download section (likely not to be required in future releases)
-Confirm the md5 checksum is correct on both files (it will be noted on the dl page)
-Place the file somewhere on your phone storage
-Reboot to TWRP recovery
-Backup current ROM
-Install ROM using twrp and select wipe during aroma install if coming from another base
-Install root fix using twrp
-If you have 1.14 hboot you will need to flash the boot.img in fastboot. You will need to extract this from the ROM zip. I have found the following tool useful
[TOOL] HTC Auto Boot.img Installer (One Click Tool)
http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1962428
-Reboot and Enjoy
Some people flash the boot.img before flashing the ROM but in my experience it works either way
Revert to ViperXL 2.4.1
-Restore previous backup
-Some people on hboot1.14 have had to reinstall the ROM and boot.img and then restore backup
If you would like to downgrade hboot refer to the details on the following thread
[HBOOT, eMMC][11/14/2012] JET - The Jewel/Evita Toolkit
