A better solution would be to create a flashable zip of the files I posted earlier.
Those files do not require the boot image to be modified so it will work with new kernels

Talking about this?

Why not simply put the files in the fxp202 before flashing?
Aren't there files contained in boot.img that need modification in order for the illumination service to work, so boot.img needs modification?

I will try to make a flashable zip that doesn't use the boot.img. in the meantime this is a zip using the old way but with fxp 202 kernel
No, you have to flash boot.img from fastboot then install zip in CWM and at the end install illumination bar app from PlayStore.
Edit: on the second tought I'm not sure about the first step?!? If there is a boot.img in zip, is it necessary to flash it first or is it enough to just install zip???
Quick noob question - was this patch applied to the illumination app by rundong on the playstore?
(I know one of the patches was applied, but just checking whether it is the latest one.)
Awesome work btw. -to u(@myzar) and @rundong.
I can confirm that the fxp202 version works:The fxp202 fix doesn't work for me somehow... 0o
But when i install the fxp201 version it works...
I can confirm that the fxp202 version works:
- wipe cache
- wipe dalvik cache
- install fxp202
- install GApps
- install Illumination service zip for fxp 202
- ...
- PROFIT!
Oh yes that's true I get confused between receiver and bar notification app sorry
So are you going to add support for xp and cm11 too?
