Hi, in light of these benchmark results, I can confirm that you can actually replace urandom with frandom and the OS will fly all the more.
So you can replace the single line:
rm /dev/random && ln /dev/urandom /dev/random
rm /dev/urandom && ln /dev/frandom /dev/urandom
rm /dev/random && ln /dev/frandom /dev/random
This is of course if you're able to first compile the frandom kernel module and load it and obtain the /dev/frandom object.
As far as this mod is concerned, I'll probably put a check for /dev/frandom presence and use that if it exists else revert to urandom.
Then we can have the benefits of this mod while we push our kernel developers to release the frandom kernel module for our specific ROMs.
Then we have liftoff!
