quick how to -->use splashflasher1.0 to convert 1080x1920 image then flash it with fastboot flash splash1 custom.img while in bootloader

you will need the eng hboot found here


1. Find your image and resize it to 1080 (width) by 1920 (length). (gimp is a good free tool for this)

2. Download splash flasher from here (and give the guy a thanks)

3. Follow the instructions by placing your newly created image in the folder then running the tool (note: make a copy of the image and put it in the folder as the process deletes the original)

4. Place the newly created custom.img in your working adb dir.

5. reboot to bootloader and send the command fastboot flash splash1 custom.img

i've attached the first one that i made. Make your own and share...


Edit: Check out the regawmod thread to remove the red disclaimer at the bottom or get get one that is already done here

note: if i've stepped on anyone's toes please let me know and i'll remove my post

[Splash]Red HTC Quietly Rooted

Cool. I just made a red HTC quietly rooted splash with this tool in a couple minutes.

What happened to the old school splash screen flash where u name it PL83200 and put it on the root if your sd card boot bootloader and press up on the volume rocker.

Doesn't work that way with us because there is no sdcard to search. I've been emailing back n forth with the developer who made the flash image gui app to see if splash.img can be included in flashing with his app. Hopefully he does that for us...

Some people like to add their name and phone number to the splash, then if someone takes it they can't figure out how to remove it. Here are some basic minimalistic jpg's that you can add text to before you convert it. I've also converted them if no text is wanted...

if you are using the custom.img don't forget to rename it to custom.img or adjust your adb command.

edit: i fixed the android circuit, sorry about the mixup

that would be way cool if we could do it through the flash image gui. i'd probably pay for the market app then.

    HTC Quietly Rooted with the unlock logo - I stole this image from EVO LTE and took off the EVO part . . Thanks to whoever I stole it from .. and thanks google for finding it.

    Also thanks for the tutorial write up on how to convert the images.
