You can actually edit it yourself.. It's a small file. use any graphics editor (I recommend GIMP) and save it in .png and put it back in \windows. Try a few and see which one looks best to you. (Rem to keep the original file safe somewhere)
I cannot modify "protected ROM files"
Hello friend
I'm trying to modify my manila 2D but I cannot replace any image because I always got the same error: "protected ROM files".
Is possible unprotect this files? I've seen some old posts but I don't know if right now is possible.
I've tryed with rename the files to ***.old but the last file always is there again. I'm using Resco Explorer and the "rename" function. I rename the hh_fw_title.png to hh_fw_title.old but the png is still there.

How to install ?
1) Copy these 2 files from \windows (hh_fw_tabbtn_mask.png and hh_fw_tabbtn.png) to a folder (in case you need to revert)
2) Unzip the attached file below
3) Disable (uncheck) Touchflo (Start - Settings - Personal - Today - Items)
4) Copy the 2 files (hh_fw_tabbtn_mask.png and hh_fw_tabbtn.png) to phone \windows (replace)
5) Enable Touchflo
This should work on all skins.
Note: I am not posting the icons as people have their own preferences.

AFAIK all graphic files (mostly *.png) used by M2D are not embedded in ROM and not protected. They can be replaced/overwritten anytime. I have done it many many times in my customisation. BTW I use Total Commander but using Resco should not be any different. I am not sure why yours are protected.
Try disable M2D (uncheck TF) from Settings. Then try to rename/replace. Then enable TF again.

I've asked the same question in some other forums.. but so far, the answer I is no, you cannot change the button tones.
sorry if already discussed ^^ but there is a way to pull off "remove" voice in the program tab of original manila theme??

How to edit/delete/add words in T9 Dictionary
T9 is a predictive text input mode which displays a word candidate list as you enter the first few characters so you just select the word that you want.
How to edit ?
Go to windows folder - open the file eT9MyWords.exe
Alphabetical list of words that you have added (or accidentally added) will be listed. You can edit / delete / add from there.

To change the large internet wiget to a custom url, change use a regedit tool and go to
HKEY_Local_Machine > Software > HTC > Manila2D > Internet Widget > Customized
and change "BannerURL" to the url you want it to load, and "BannerURLText" to whatever you want it to say under the "Launch Browser" icon.

i hated to open the back of my jade to soft rest the phone which i do quite often so i found this tool which i felt would be useful to the others who like me dont like to open the back cover to soft rest ur jade enjoy

i dont have this problem but their is another application i have given that also does the same(td2softrest) thing ie soft reset i have tried it and it works so try it

I found shutxp stopped my bluetooth from working
On my phone, YES. The time atumatically changes to the time of the country where you roam.
(Phone - Menu - Options - Time Zones Tab - tick "Automatic change time zone and clock")

8) Change Date Format on TF2D Home Tab - Credit to nikmaster74 for pointing this reg edit.
Check registry HKCU\MUI\Curlang - if value is 1033 (decimal), most likely the date format will be american format (mmm dd, yy). Changing registry <SSdte> at this state will not change the date format at Home Tab.
How to change ?
Go to registry HKCU\MUI\Curlang - change value 1033 to 409 (decimal) - Save - Soft Reset >>> date on Home Tab will change to format dd/mm/yy (depending on what's at <SSDte>).
Now, if you want to change to other formats, go to HKLM\nls\overrides\SSDte and put whatever format you wish.
e.g. ddd dd/MM/yy will return a date Thu 29/01/09. Note: doing this will also change date format at other tabs like emails, messages, file folders, etc.
Note: Please rename file \windows\HH_0409_WeatherCities.xml to HH_0199_WeatherCities.xml
This to ensure that you can continue add/change cities at the Weather Tab

By default you can only wake up your Jade with the "on/off" (top) button. With this regedit, you can wake up your Jade with all (green, red, cursor) buttons. To make a call (using phone pad) from sleep mode just press the green button, no need to press the on/off button first.
