I guess you mean this?

We see the trend not to show the information in a lot of JB builds, especially in JB 4.2.2 builds. This maybe is in conjunction with multiuser.

I'm personally of the opinion that the from the os extrapolated data are not correct. Anyway, the data is there and could be visualisied by One Power Guard for example.

Not really what I meant was the default android battery information.

The one which you access via Settings > Battery.

It does not show up at all and it is my belief that as a result the battery icon does not change.

Sorry for the wrong guess. Tested that on my tab with all stock kernel that Chuwie have released and can't find the issue.

Any idea of the hardware revision of your tab? My tab has PCB: V8_MV1.1_20130325.

Yeah, that's what I meant, android logging of battery usage is broken. It doesn't tell you which app used what.

You're just using a different app and that's just entirely different.

Hm, I think we mixed up two things.

1. battery event from the kernel is available and Android 4.2.2 show up that information (pic 1: loading, pic 2: warning)

2. battery usage by app is not shown by the OS; you can use a 3rd party app

Anyway, I can only tell what is the case on my tab.

Yeah, your point number two was what I was referring to.

Meh. This sucks. That's one major reason why I didn't stay on 4.2.2

I am still of the opinion that the 2nd method in post #30 will work for you.

Power Management:

Accu Capacity = 15.8 Wh / 3,7 V = 4,27 Ah

1) Charging:

Premises:
- Power Supply with 5V 2A
- Accu Capacity 4,27 Ah
- max. Charge Rate C/4 = 1,07 A
- Initial Condition 20% Capacity
- Charge Rate constant 1 A
- Loss of Load ~ 25%

Charging-Time = 4,27 Ah * 0,8 / 1,07 A * 1,25 = 4 h

With no activity we got a Charge Rate of appr. 1,8 A (0,6 A the last 10%). So tab gets loaded in 2 h.

2) Discharging

Set-up:
- Oma JB 4.2.2 v3.0.1
- Accu about 30 load-cycles
- brightness 75%, wlan off
- Battery Monitor Widget as background app
- Accu Capacity not under 20%

a) Videoplay 45min on repeat (CPU @ 312 MHz) > appr. 11 %/h > appr. 7,25 h (20 % Capacity)

b) Gameplay simulated by running Antutu on repeat (CPU @ 312, 816, 1608 MHz) > appr. 20 %/h > appr. 4 h (20% Capacity)

3) Deep sleep

- implemented

Gents,

I have found such kind of feedback:

After unbricking i tried to brick it again in the same way with the same firmware, but i did not succeed.

All RK3188 tabs identifies itself as rk30sdk. I don't know why.

Flash-Driver ID's:

RK29 - ID 2207:290a
RK30 - ID 2207:300a
RK31 - ID 2207:310b

The latest Flash-Tools (RKAndroid-Tool v1.7 and RKBacht-Tool v1.37) get ready also with Flash-Driver ID 2207:300a.

I don't know what windoof is doing with not properly installed or otherwise corrupted USB drivers. Please make sure you are operating with the right Flash-Driver, which have ID 2207:310b.

Chuwi V88 by Oma JB 4.2.2 v3.2

- Internal Storage 4,0 GB
- external SD mounted as NAND (up to 64 GB)
- Device spoofed as Nexus 7
- Gameloft compatible

For this build we will change now partition-layout on the NAND.
Therefore we use EradeIDB in RKAndroid-Tool.
Pls make sure that current counts up to 4096 (otherwise tab will reboot).

Build comes with CWM, so we need also the format_NAND_fix (see instructions).

If you don't like the mount then pls install intSD_to_NAND_fix directly after format_NAND_fix.

You can also use fixes from post #53 to toggle UI.

Hello Oma,

is it possible to improve the charging so it starts charging a full akku again when going down to 95% and not already at 99% ?

Kind Regards
Splotz

Would extend battery lifetime.
