So then I think I'm going to wait for a fix of TriangleAway first for this phone model so I can reset the 1 counter if I root the phone so I can rest easy. Thanks again! I'm going to get the app after I root the phone. :D

Hi guys,

Last month i bought galaxy s3 shv-e210s 4G LTE from south korea. when i came back home to Palestine (Jerusalim), the mobile start to face problems in making an receiving calls...for example when someone try to call me my device will be unreachable, and when i try to call someone the device will show only dialling status and wont go to alerting, so i have to restart my mobile every half an our to keep making and receiving calls.

Our carrier name: Jawwal and its only 2.5G not even 3G

I changed the mobile network mode to 3G only because there is no lower than this but still the same problem.

Please guys help me i am frustrated..

Go into the SKT hidden menu / Network Settings / Network mode and choose the frequency the network carrier uses.

Doing a Nandroid backup on SHV E210k

Thanks for this! Was able to root my SHV E210K. Now, I wanna do a Nandroid back up but I do not see an option for the same when I get into the recovery mode - I can go into the recovery mode only via CWM as doing the Volume Down + Home + Power puts me frozen into this screen where the Android bot stands and some Korean text comes up with a yellow triangle. Can you please guide me to do the Nandroid back up?

All went well & easy. Simple guide below. Please note this is only for ROOTING using a ROOTED ROM on KT Olleh LTE

1. Download Odin 3 + Samsung USB drivers & install (you can search for them online & here in XDA easily)

2. Put your phone into download mode (Vol. Up + Home button + Power) some korean characters will pop up (press Vol. Up)

3. Launch Odin & plug your phone in via USB connection (MAKE SURE your USB cable connection is good & DO NOT TOUCH it during the process) you can see that your phone connected via COM 4: or 5, etc

4. Click on PDA (DO NOT click anything else & MAKE SURE RE-PARTITION is NOT ticked under options) then navigate to your folder where you've saved your .tar file which looks something like this (KIES_E210KKKALG3_E210KKTTALG3_808555_REV00_user_low_ship.tar)

5. Then hit Start button & watch the progress. Takes about 3 & 1/2 mins

6. Phone reboots automatically & congrats :) you're ROOTED

7. To check, goto Play Store search for SuperSU & open it then you can see that it's installed with v0.94

NOTE: phone banking WILL NOT work after you've rooted

The password for Hidden menu dint work!

The password for the hidden KT menu read as 996412 per instructions. But it doesn't work anymore. :crying:

Oh man! this was a life saver:victory:....Had a SHV E210K and went all round the world to find a way to do the CWM flash on my phone to be able to perform a back up and restore. Thanks for this! here is a 5 star rating ! '*****':highfive::good:

Galaxy S3 SHW-M440S 4.1.2 video recording issue

Hi,

I have Galaxy S3 SHW-M440S 4.1.2, which I bought recently from Korea. I am facing some issue with video recording. The issue is that, video recording stops automatically after some time (say 30 seconds or 2 min or sometimes after 5-10 minutes). Reboot solves the problem, but it reoccur after some days.

has anyone else seen this problem before? Is there any fix available for it ? Or is it a hardware issue ?

I'm currently having problem with data network apparently i cant use mobile data network on my phone so possible that i've messed up this settings.

I've Installed HD Revolution v27 on my shv-e210s
Everything except one thing is working perfectly
that one thing is Mobile Internet (Mobile Data)
Can anyone explain me why it's not working?!!?
GPS, Bluetooth, Video Calls, WiFi - works perfectly and this damn Mobile Data doesn't work at all (((

Build 47 has some interresting changes. Change log translation...

* Completely changed the root method - New method used to prevent anti-virus apps from detecting root. 'SU' and 'superuser' app can not be specified in order to reduce risk
[note: I have no idea what this last part means]

* Change to boot animation / init.d not currently supported
[note: assume he will be adding that back in the near future]

* Supports Tegrak App v 0.5 and higher - Just download from Google Play store. Random modification of the app can expose it to malware.

My take: this is a knee jerk kernel update due to new updated root checks in some apps. Tegrak has been pretty solid in his root methods and functionality. I'm sure the lack of boot animation/init.d modification will be remedied shortly.

I have nothing that will be affected by this so I plan on trying this out tonite after work. I will also try that Hanabank app M@31 was having problems w/ and see if this remedies the issue. Will write another post later do detail first hand the changes.

New Tegrak kernel works fine. Roots fine. SU works.

*** Temp unroot works awesome. HANA BANK APP NOW WORKS! (thought M@31 might like to know :D )

    2. Install the latest CWM recovery or Philz Touch Recovery
    3. Download zips & Copy to Internal SD Card
    4. Reboot Recovery
    5. Wipe data/factory reset / Clean to Install a New ROM
    6. Install zip from SD card -> choose ZIP and flash
    7. Wipe Cache
    8. Wipe Dalvik Cache (under Advanced)
    9. Reboot system
    10. Now Reboot into Recovery again and Flash Quick Settings Fix

    Installation Instructions For E210K Devices
    1. Root your device (duh!)
    2. Install the latest CWM recovery via Rom Manager only. (Select Model as GT-I9300)
    3. Download zip & Copy to Internal SD Card only!
    4. Reboot Recovery
    5. Wipe data/factory reset
    6. Wipe Cache
    7. Wipe Dalvik Cache (under Advanced)
    8. Install zip from SD card -> choose ZIP and Follow the Aroma Installer
    9. Wipe data in Aroma is highly recommended
    10. Reboot system

    Installation Instructions For E210S Devices
    1. Root your device (duh!)
    2. Install the latest CWM recovery via Rom Manager only. (Select Model as GT-I9300)
    3. Download the two zips & Copy to Internal SD Card only!
    4. Reboot Recovery
    5. Wipe data/factory reset
    6. Wipe Cache
    7. Wipe Dalvik Cache (under Advanced)
    8. Install zip from SD card -> choose Android_Revolution_HD-P1.zip and Follow the Aroma Installer (Do not reboot system yet!)
    9. Install zip from SD card -> choose Android_Revolution_HD-P2.zip and Flash
    10. Wipe data in Aroma is highly recommended
    11. Reboot system

    Very Important!
    Since this is a stock based ROM, upon flashing it will try to flash the stock recovery as well. As soon as your device boots up after installing the new ROM, flash CWM Recovery again via Rom Manager .
    Other CWM Based Custom Recoveries are not recommended. Do not use "Reboot to Recovery" option inside the ROM at any cost. Always use Hardware Keys to Boot in to Recovery. If it fails to enter in to Recovery, Flash CWM Recovery again.
    Upon exiting CWM Recovery if it asks "Fix Root?" -> Always select YES!

    *NEW - If your Mobile Data & SMS Delivery reports does not work, flash one of the attached files through CWM.
    This fix is for the 4.3 ROMs Only!​
    1.Mobile_Data&SMS-Fix.zip -> Fixed Mobile Data + Delivery Reports but No USSD/MMI Codes.
    2.Mobile_Data&USSD-Fix.zip -> Fixed Mobile Data + Working USSD/MMI Codes but No SMS Delivery Reports.
    You'll have to choose between one. :rolleyes: No other way.
