When you run a benchmarking app on any Nexus or any 2012 phone, it runs with true performance giving an accurate score.
When you run a benchmark on a Z Ultra, Note 3, or G2, the OEMs code so that when you open Antutu, Quadrant, or Linpack, all 4 cores are boosted to 2.3Ghz.
Yes, this is cheating. And if you actually believed in benchmarks as a sign of performance, then I'm preaching to the choir.
