thank you ...
but notification Blackberry Messenger does not ring?
all the settings are correct :confused:
there is a solution?

I think its because the apps closed by the RAM manager.
The ROM try to clean unused apps. Blackberry use plenty memory on the RAM, so RAM Manager was closing it.

After using Carbon for 2 weeks, battery can stand over 18h with data on. And this is so great.
But sometime after 1-2 days of using, RAM becoming so low, it only have 70-30 spaces. And launcher, even keyboard need time to launched. I need to restart the phone to free more RAM. I've tried to force closed apps, but RAM still so low. I dont have this problem on CM10.2.
Maybe somebody can help me?

Hello, I’m testing new build, so maybe I’ll upload it later… in near future;)

History:
Build 6 – RC2 [2014-01-21]
* Updated device and ROM sources [2014-01-21]
* Kernel updated to 3.0.101 (thanx to @Rox, @hafidzduddin, @cocafe, @DH-harald, @KINGbabasula and everyone involved):
- Added abyssplug governor
- Removed ondemandq governor and some I/O schedulers
- Fixed data download/upload arrows
* Notification sound is not late anymore
* Fixed apollo skip song when notification comes + DSP FC
* Swap storages option in advanced settings - Thanks to @Rox and @e_c
* Removed unused (empty) “Advanced” submenu in Display settings, which causes FC’s when pressed.

As it could be my final version of Carbon ROM (and maybe my last Codina’s public ROM ever), I want to add few words…

I’m pretty sure that @Rox – our main device sources maintainer - deserves for a special thanks. I watched your progress – starting from “simple” theming You became our local hero:), learning fast. I believe that the knowledge You achieved playing with our Samsung Galaxy Ace II will help you to find “a job from your dreams” in your mature life (do not hurry;)). I’m aware that without Your work I just couldn’t “get” Carbon (or Chameleon OS, or whatever) in current state. So once again – thanks for Your contribution!!!

Of course I remember other people, that helped to develop our device sources, but I just wanted to emphasize Rox’es input
. (You can find expanded thanx section and in changelog* [OP];)).

I want to thank You, users, for your words of encouragement and for support… starting from my “kitchen work” – first ROMs based on Samsung Stock up to my compiled ROMs… It was great time for me, despite of many “wasted” hours and countless versions… As you probably guess – released ROMs are just a drop in the ocean – there were many more unreleased versions…

I made all that ROMs (basically) for myself, but if there is (one) person that was/is satisfied with my work – I’m very happy.

In the end, let me present (almost) complete list of my ROMs for Galaxy Ace II (only working/booting ones;)):

- Minimal by judas77 (based on Samsung stock), final (1.6) version have exceptional (for codina) feature – Aroma Installer, where You can decide what should be installed (apps, tweaks, mods);

- Mimimal Gaiden (with final version – Minimal Zero) – continuation of my first work – it’s just about making Samsung stock more minimal. Last build was made from nandroid backup, not from Samsung firmware files;

- CM10 – first ROM compiled by me;). Without OMX, without camera… Just one build, no copy preserved;);

- Mokee Open Source 4.2.x – that was my second compiled ROM – most funny thing – there were no compilation errors, but it didn’t boot;

- CM10.1 – at that time I used only my versions of CM10.1 ROMs, didn’t even tried “official” Rox’es ones…;

- CM10.2 – I think I compiled few versions just after TC’s first releases;

- Chameleon OS 4.2 – hmm… that one works quite good, but last release is from “pre-low in-call fix”. Maybe I’ll update that ROM (unless ChaOS Team deleted sources;))**

- Chameleon OS 4.3 – updated not so long time ago. Work pretty good, but it wasn’t very popular ROM. Maybe I’ll check how it works with MIUI themes;)).

- Mokee Open Source 4.3 – only one build compiled, with OMX patches and low in-call volume fix implemented… That was beautiful ROM on my ZTE Blade (but based on Android 2.3.7), 4.3 version was nothing special (very similar to CM10.2), what was a little disappointment for me. No copy preserved (which is bit strange for me;));

- Carbon ROM – yes, you can find it in OP, last public ROM from @judas1977 for Ace II?:)))

- Vanilla RootBox – back to 4.2.2 – I updated that ROM after Rox lost his compiling environment, one of the best 4.2.x ROMs… Too bad authors abandoned that project (no 4.3+ sources)…

- Slim Bean 4.3 – I had high hopes about that ROM. Pretty fast and stable, with working GPS **, but with broken recovery also (faulty memory access paths, you couldn’t install any zip). I lost some time to fix it, but nothing helped.

- Liquid Smooth 4.3 – I compiled that ROM playing with storages and GPS sources**, two or three builds was compiled.

** GPS on 4.3.x ROMs if very lazy and resistant on my device. Last worked (and worked outstanding!)* on my Slim 4.3 build (18 visible satellites, 17 connected) - that with broken recovery, unluckily no copy of that build preserved). That forced me to play with GPS fixes, but nothing helped to achieve fully working one… So, basically, there is no 4.3 ROM with working GPS for my Ace II…

GPS issues pushed me to 4.2.x ROMs, where I can achieve it working (fast fix, stable). Maybe I’ll try to compile Slim Bean 4.2 (many tries before, without success;)).

OK, but for now – it’s time to become a consumer;)).

Yes, possibly my last ROM for ace 2. I'm tired, I cannot make GPS working on any 4.3+ ROM.
But I'm staying with codina for couple of months yet :)

    [ROM][4.3.1][Jelly Bean] Carbon ROM [Unofficial][2014-05-0x], a ROM for the Samsung Galaxy Ace II

    Contributors: judas1977, Rox, jereksel, criminal, Zwliew, cocafe and others
    ROM OS Version: 4.3.1
    ROM Kernel: Linux 3.0.x
    ROM Firmware Required: Any JB ROM for Galaxy Ace II

    ----------
    Carbon JB [4.3.1.] Unnofficial for the Galaxy Ace II (Codina)

    I take no resposibility if something will go... not as it supposed to. The responsibility for potential damages caused by installing or using of this ROM is Yours, and Yours only!

    My ROM is released „as is” – you don’t like it – don’t use it.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Important!
    Any Galaxy Ace II ROM based on Android 4.2.x+ has to be installed over Android 4.1.x+ (stock ROM, CM-like customs). You will need custom recovery (temporary one is good enough)

    It is strongly recommended to make a backup before installing of ANY ROM!
