I'm stock, non-rooted, and having trouble applying the update through stock recovery. Choosing "apply update from phone storage" gives a "Check CID failed!" message and the phone immediately reboots. I don't get the opportunity to navigate to where the update is stored. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure why some of you are getting that ? is your bootloader locked ?
did you try and erase the cache or a factory reset (this will wipe your phone so make sure your backed up)
@nkk71 any suggestions ?

Bootloader is locked. I tried clearing cache as well. Reset may be my only option at this point.

Has some issues...I would advise NOT taking the update....heres one issue thats pretty big if your like me and like to take pics and use the editing features...Photo editing features are all broken...

I did a fresh RUU to 4.3 and then took the OTA. I've been running it for two days and have been unable to replicate your photo editing issues. I preformed the same operations as in your video and they wireless fine for me. Bootloader unlocked and S-Off not rooted.

4.4.2 OTA update for Unlocked HTC One (orig AT&T)

Just asking, but is there an update file out there for an unlocked HTC One GSM (orig AT&T) that I can flash instead of having to deal with all these issues about stock recovery and RUU's and such???? Anyone????? Thanks in advance!!!!

4.4 update for Att Htc One

Has anyone had any issues with the gallery app once you've updated? I will click on a photo and select share, it looks like it's trying to bring up the menu but won't. I've tried resetting the phone mulitple times, but no luck.

Thanks

I'd love to see a 4.4.2 AT&T deoxed, decrapified (no AT&T bloat) rom that can be flashed using TWRP. Does one exist?

Do you need your SIM Card in to be able to get the update? I cut mine to a nanosim or whatever so it'd fit in my iPhone 5s, wanted to try out KitKat on the HTC one but I still can't get the update, was wondering if maybe the sim card is the issue or I just am not able to get it yet :S

not really, but it's obvious the stock recovery is trying to apply something (from this screen: http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=50608679&postcount=91 )

but what exactly, I can't say; has anybody taken a look at the updater-script in the OTA?

Any ideas?

My bootloader is locked, by CID is correct(I think), I'm s-off and I have CWM recovery.

It is because I don't have stock recovery isn't it.

You need stock recovery to install it not to find and download it

No love.. Reflashed RUU, redownloaded OTA package, checked md5 -- all good. But alas, issue remains.

Ahh well, guess I'll look for a different way.

You seem to be S-On. I believe in order to flash an RUU you need to be S-Off. Do that first (Firewater) then try flashing the RUU again.

Has anyone had problems sending mms? I'm completely stock and it has taken up to an hour to send a 400kb message. I'm not sure if this could be a bug with the update or just my phone?

    Here's the AT&T 4.4.2 OTA Zip

Crap, haven't flashed a ruu yet. Where do I get that?

    This one if your s-off
    http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/ruu-zip-m7_ul_jb43_sense50_mr_cingular_us_3-17-502-3-decrypted-zip/

Instructions for Flashing RUU Zip Files:
Download the RUU.zip file and place in your ADB/fastboot folder. I would recommend renaming the zip file to something simple like ruu.zip.

Boot your phone into the bootloader by holding the power and vol up/down buttons at the same time until you see the bootloader screen or if you have your phone booted you can use the ADB command:

    adb reboot bootloader

    Now use these fastboot commands:

    fastboot oem rebootRUU

Should see the Silver HTC logo. Now issue this command to flash your phone using the ruu.zip file:

    fastboot flash zip ruu.zip

Now the first time you issue a command to flash firmware/ruu in fastboot it only prepares the flash. You have to issue the exact command again:

    fastboot flash zip ruu.zip

The green status bar usually does not reach the 100% mark. When the output in the command window is complete, you can reboot:

    fastboot reboot

**Notes about the RUU.zip method. You still need to have the proper CID for the RUU. You can run the RUU.zip with super CID, but you will have to lock your bootloader first. If you are running the RUU.zip as base to downgrade all your firmware because you are going to then going to restore a stock Nandroid so the RUU might not be made for your MID, so you may need to edit the android-info.txt inside the ruu.zip to include your MID or CID.

    This one if your s-on
